Regarding Zechariah 14, Christ and the apostles would have been very familiar with, yet no quotes from the prophet mentioned by any of them regarding future events. That tells me it is not for us to be concerned with, not relevant to the end, the Last Day. You also realize that type of thinking goes against the New Testament, what it teaches about the end.
Zechariah chapter 14 is quoted by the Apostle Paul and by Jude and Revelation

2 Peter 3 has got the truth about when Christ returns in flaming fire.
The earth is burned up
Peter is writing about the coming of Christ a second time, not a third, fourth or any other thing like 1000 rule in the middle of His coming before the end of this world.

We know it is about His coming in the Last Days, as it says such in v4, and v10

1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of [a]us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and [b]perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [c]us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The Day of the Lord

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be [d]burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Be Steadfast

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Ok, you have made the claim, what are the verses then?
Where is the quotation, where they quote from Zechariah 14?
Begin with Revelation chapter 19

Compare that with Zech ch14 and ask yourself = Are these two in AGREEMENT concerning His Second Coming?

KEY = the OT Prophecies do not need to be 'word-for-word' exact when they are repeated in the NT

God alone interprets the OT prophecies in the LIGHT of CHRIST and His Kingdom and Purposes

God's interpretaion is the Gospel, the Apostles writings and Revelation

About Zechariah 14, a weakness is the premills saying their is ongoing evil in the millennial reign.

In the greater light of the New Testament revelation, it becomes clear that Zechariah is looking ahead to the messianic mission of Jesus and his two advents. Our premillennial friends are correct when they assert that the passage refers to a future millennial kingdom and temple sacrifices when viewed from Zechariah’s pre-messianic place in the redemptive historical time line. But they err when they assign this to a future semi-consummated earthly millennial kingdom in which evil (sinful human conduct) remains after Jesus returns in judgment.

John understands the one-thousand years of Revelation 20 to refer to Christ’s kingdom and the entirety inter-advental period, not to an earthly, national kingdom which Jesus supposedly establishes after his return. What premillennarians miss then, is that the so-called millennial age is a present reality, characterized by the presence of evil, including a struggle between the people of God and the City of Man (Babylon the Great), all the while facing the deceit of Satan (heresy and false doctrine). The prophets of Israel foresaw Jesus is the true temple from whom the living water flows. His sacrifice for sin is said to be once for all (Romans 6:10; 1 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 9:28, 10:10).

Any attempt to understand a millennial kingdom with Christ physically ruling from an earthly Jerusalem, yet co-existing with evil, with animals being sacrificed (even as a memorial) in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, must overlook the fact that the New Testament reinterprets all of these things (including Zechariah’s prophetic oracle in chapter 14 of his prophecy) as a present reality, the inter-advental period, with the types and shadows of the prophets giving way to the fulfillment and reality that is Jesus Christ.

Zechariah 14 does not support premillennialism, nor does it allow for the presence of evil after our Lord’s return. To interpret Zechariah’s prophecy in such light, seriously detracts from the reality and glory of Christ’s saving work in his messianic mission.

Peter does say the earth will be burned up and dissolved. People have differing thoughts on that.

Pretty good symbolism there in concept.

He does return in Flaming Fire
2 Thess 1

6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with [c]tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who [d]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God tells Moses this, and it may be that when Jesus comes again, He will be revealed in His true self to the world, and that is why he is a consuming fire to the wicked. AND they are flesh, and not spiritually alive.
At His return we shall all be changed, cause flesh and blood cannot be in such a holy Prescence of God, it perishes.
Exodus 33:20
But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”
And
Exodus 24:17
The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 4:24
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
Peter does say the earth will be burned up and dissolved.
Yes, but can something being burned up and dissolved mean something more... figurative... in the sense of absolute cleansing and refining/renewing... than merely taking that at, well, wooden face value? I say yes.
People have differing thoughts on that.
They surely do. <smile>
He does return in Flaming Fire
Yes, He will be coming in judgement.
Grace and peace to you.
You are bearing FALSE WITNESS with the above Scott.
There is NOTHING in that Scripture that declares Christ's throne is in Heaven. That is a FALSE ASSUMPTION from the doctrines of men.
Try explaining Matthew 19:28, I dare ya!
Matt 19:28
28 And Jesus said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
KJV
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Jesus reigns at the right hand of the Father in heaven "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named" with "all things under his feet" while being "the head over all things to the church", but He doesn't have a throne in heaven?
LOL! How can He reign with "all things under his feet" at the right hand of the Father in heaven without being the King on His throne?
Matthew 19:28 is not saying that He will not have been reigning in heaven before He comes and the regeneration occurs. That verse is talking about when He will sit in the throne of His glory that He has already been sitting on for a long time to judge all people, as portrayed in Matthew 25:31-46.
JESUS only burns up the AC and those who receive the MoB
Those who have the mark of the beast are those who worship the beast and that is all whose names are not written in the book of life. So, what unbelievers does that leave to populate the earth after Jesus comes and destroys all those with the mark of the beast?
Revelation 13:8 All who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slaughtered.
You still cannot account for what Jesus Himself said here...
Matt 19:28
28 And Jesus said unto them,
"Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
KJV
So you can rant and rave all day long trying to show that Lord Jesus is now sitting upon His Throne in Heaven, when Lord Jesus does NOT agree with you per the above verse!
Do you believe that Jesus currently reigns at the right hand of the Father "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named" with "all things under his feet" while being "the head over all things to the church", as Paul taught?
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church
, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother [h]or wife or children or [i]lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
v28, the setting occurs at His return and our resurrection on the New earth and New heavens, not this first earth and first heavens.
Judging Israel implies they will rule and be delegated decision makers over the saved. God still has an orderly arrangement of hierarchy among the people in His kingdom.

v29, is for today before the resurrection, they will receive those things in this life, and in the end, inherit eternal life.

v28 is what Peter in Acts 3 describes as the restoration of all things, and what Revelation 21 describes as God making all things new again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Acts 3
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send [a]Jesus Christ, who was [b]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [c]the world began.
Rev 21
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, [a]John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said [b]to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It[c] is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
The Glory of the New Jerusalem
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine [l]in it, for the [m]glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
24 And the nations [n]of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor [o]into it.
25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into [p]it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything [q]that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note v24, there is still rulership and an order among the people here referring to these 'kings of the earth', who are kings on the NEW earth.
And some of them will be the Apostles as Jesus told them who would be judges among the people.

Matt 19:30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first. As you can read heaven has rewards.

There will be NO EVIL things left behind to rebel and cause trouble when Christ returns.
No evil hearts of unbelief remain.
The problem of evil remaining on the earth with the pre mill POV is a major issue and against what scripture teaches.

Acts 2

34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’

36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,

Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’

Acts 3

16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send [c]Jesus Christ, who was [d]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [e]the world began. 22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Jesus sits at the right Hand of the Father until all His enemies are under His feet, eliminated, that includes death. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. God destroys all His enemies.
After death is destroyed in the Lake of Fire, God gives us the New Earth and New Heavens.
In that New Jerusalem that descends from the New heaven onto the New Earth, Christ will sit on the throne of His glory and all things will be truly under His feet as in we will see it. That is the regeneration-restoration of the earth and the heaven.
But He will not be leaving heaven at the right hand of the Father until then, until it is all completed.
Then we have this, it is DONE!, End game, it is over. Everything is fulfilled that God promised.
Rev 21
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, [a]John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said [b]to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It[c] is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
Christ Himself, in His return, is the consuming fire. Now, in His return, He's not going to look like this...
<smile> But He will be coming in judgment, which the fire is symbolic of. The earth will not literally be burned up but refined by this fire, made new (not newly made) <smile>
Grace and peace to all.
There is not rebuttal to that. Who can survive?
