sorry,You were correct.
I meant what happened to you that caused your sins to be forgiven?
in the OT. A sacrifice had to be given. Did someone make a sacrifice for your past sins?

Ah now we get into who the Atonement was for. I am still getting this straight after believing the conventional view for a long time. The blood was taken into the Holy of Holies correct? So it was for holiness.sorry,

No blood shed from Jesus..no forgiveness...he was the perfect LAMB..LOL...who took the sins of the whole world....he’s our card back to God...Praise His Holy Name.Ah now we get into who the Atonement was for. I am still getting this straight after believing the conventional view for a long time. The blood was taken into the Holy of Holies correct? So it was for holiness.
Is the blood required for forgiveness?
I believe Jesus meant the second option. A person can't recognize or identify the kingdom of God unless God has opened his or her eyes and ears, which he describes as "born again."
I thought I read heart in @CadyandZoe post....of course the heart must be opened by God to receive being birthed in/ by the Spirit.....then we have those spiritual eyes and ears. You have a lot of theological opinions that are not true.
Listen.
God opening the EYES, by the Holy spirit is..>"coming to the KNOWLEDGE of the Truth".
This is..."Tasted the Heavenly gift"
But that is not "born again"......as you can have this understanding, but not take it to FAITH, and without faith, there is no Salvation given.
There is no "born again", created.
You can look to lev 16, But I will highlite some verses hereAh now we get into who the Atonement was for. I am still getting this straight after believing the conventional view for a long time. The blood was taken into the Holy of Holies correct? So it was for holiness.

if we were holy, he would not need to die.Maybe the shedding of blood was on top of the death of Christ. He died for our sins but shed His blood for our holiness.
Is this not the anointing (coming on or in) of the HS and not the baptism.
I think alot of people get this confused.
It does not say for forgiveness. It is for cleansing. They could be forgiven but not holy.that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.
if your sins are cleansed your forgiven. It does not say for forgiveness. It is for cleansing. They could be forgiven but not holy.
yes 1 cor 12 is the baptism of the spirit thank youIt's the baptism that comes only by Christ and is supernatural power of God.
Luke 3:16 (KJV) John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
I thought I read heart in @CadyandZoe post....of course the heart must be opened by God to receive being birthed in/ by the Spirit.....then we have those spiritual eyes and ears.
okay that seems to say so. What is the Greek I wonder.if we were holy, he would not need to die.
the blood was for our redemption. the forgiveness of sin.
Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
can you show this in John 3?
John 11:25-26. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
Because of Jesus' resurrection, we can live a forgiven life.
1Corinthians 15
14] And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. [15] Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
okay that seems to say so. What is the Greek I wonder.
