How am I being led back to Rome by believing Rome is the Whore of Babylon described in Revelation 17 & 18?

If they are trying to lead me and others back to them through that theology, that doesn't seem like a very sound plan.
Babylon is about paradigm, the scripture calls it wine....drunk on wine

Wine isn't going to murder the saints and the prophets again, Quiet, or do you think Rome is done persecuting them unto death? Your own eschatology points towards Rome doing such things in the future, and yet when you teach this it is Historicist reason but when I teach it it is Futurist nonsense, because I have been presumably blinded by the Jesuits, even though I regularly expose the fact that the Vatican has been infiltrated by Satanists at the highest levels...

If you teach that Babylon is merely about "wine" while I teach it is about the coming martyrdom of countless saints and prophets of God, who is doing the real exposing here? My eschatology, supposedly given to me "by Jesuits," lays bare that Satanists presently run and will run Catholicism, and put the saints of God to death. What sense does all that make if the Jesuits gave me this to teach?

These Jews in this crafted and created political State with Zionist money and deceitful motives, called Israel,

Some of them. Remember that a most Jews believe in, love God And are obedient to Him (blindly and legalistically) and some love money.
Your hasty generalization to lump them all together is judgmental, inconsiderate and heartless. Talk about cheap shots!
The problem with this cheap shot is that you think that the Jews today are the same as those in Christ's time and Paul etc
Gosh no, those Jews died, these are their descendants. ;) They were scattered throughout the world and many have returned.
You say these things as if you took individual DNA tests from each and everyone of them - you know nothing. God knows who they are. You need to watch what you say! Curse them and you will be cursed.
Jews were hated then, during the Holocaust and today. Anti-Semitism is growing and this growth has about reaches its apex. My advice to you is to get off that boat - it's not the Ark ... it's the Titanic - with no life boats.

Oh, Btw, Good Morning!

Thanks for the reply, Quiet.

My first response to that would be that scripture promises He will wipe away ever tear. Yet this passage has them mourning and in bitterness after the kingdom of God has been established on earth for the One they have pierced.

How do you account for that? Doesn't seem consistent with the post-millennium narrative as described in Revelation.

......and God will wipe away every tear because there will be tears otherwise he wouldn't have to wipe them away.
And why will there be tears? because they will see as never before the overwhelming immensity of the price paid for their redemption.

1 Who is this who comes from Edom,

from the city of Bozrah,

with his clothing stained red?

Who is this in royal robes,

marching in his great strength?

“It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation!

It is I, the Lord, who has the power to save!”

2 Why are your clothes so red,

as if you have been treading out grapes?

3 “I have been treading the winepress alone;

no one was there to help me.

In my anger I have trampled my enemies

as if they were grapes.

In my fury I have trampled my foes.

Their blood has stained my clothes.

4 For the time has come for me to avenge my people,

to ransom them from their oppressors.

5 I was amazed to see that no one intervened

to help the oppressed.

So I myself stepped in to save them with my strong arm,

and my wrath sustained me.

6 I crushed the nations in my anger

and made them stagger and fall to the ground,

spilling their blood upon the earth.”

You are both wrong!
All the false belief systems that evolved into false religions, philosophies, the occults, astrology, etc., all the evils from Babylon were scattered throughout the world. Jerusalem had a taste of Babylon, Rome did, everywhere does, NYC, and every city. The world has committed fornication with Babylon. It is the entire world system that is spoken of in Rev. 17. "... The waters which you saw, where the Whore sits, are people's and multitudes and nations and tongues". Vs. 15

You are correct in your low estimation of the Papacy. Except for one thing. It isn't low enough. The reformers were right. The Papacy is the Antichrist. It cannot possibly be any other entity when all prophecy is taken into account, and history harmonizing.
The wine of Babylon by which all are made drunk, are her ideological false teachings. Babylon epitomizes confusion. The Antichrist component of Babylon epitomizes replacement. Christ replaced. In every way possible. And they all meet perfect fruition within Catholicism whereby Christ as Redeemer is replaced... As high priest in the sanctuary is replaced... As spokesman for Goo.d is replaced. There threefold ministry of Christ... Priest, Prophet, and King, cast aside and a counterfeit placed in His stead. This the tourneys recognised, the teaching of which being primarily responsible for the the dividing of Europe. The counter reformation was designed by the Jesuits to destroy that teaching... And they used preterism and futurism to accomplish it. It removed 2000 years of prophetic history of the table. 2000 years of the advancement of the gospel worldwide. 2000 years of persecution against God's people and the condition of the church surviving most of that time in the wilderness.
KJV Revelation 12:6
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

And the apostate counterfeit persecuting that woman over the same time period. Which is basically what you have recognised and correctly see repeating, only instead of just in Europe, soon to be taken globally. You see this, but miss they prophetic history that puts everything in context.

No it's not, but I appreciate the post, lol.

When Israel was compared to a whore, the Lord wasn't referring to the whole world system, He was referring to His people. Same thing here.

Alright. The passage also says He will pour out upon them the Spirit of supplication. If the kingdom of God has already been established and they are already in it, what are they supplicating Him for?

Yes it can, LoL.

Hello, Backlit.
The wine of Babylon by which all are made drunk, are her ideological false teachings.

My point was that Rome is more than ideological teachings or a philosophical construct.
Babylon epitomizes confusion.

Again, Rome is more than just an epitomization. Backlit, these spiritualizations take away from the Biblical teaching of what Rome is. It states very plainly it is a CITY, and a city that will see to the death and martyrdom of the saints. With all due respect to both of you, you are watering downed and confusing the message of what scripture actually says.

I know the Adventist construct, Backlit, but it is filled with spiritualizations. The reason I brought all this up was because I feel verse by verse analysis of various texts gets distorted. Let's stay on the scriptures themselves. I will agree with Quiet on one thing: Spouting viewpoints will actually get us nowhere, and just frustrate the situation.

The Lord needs people to stand in the gap, as often as He leads.

Refresh my memory, what’s an idiom?
Picture language, for example, if I said, I went to pick blackberries but saw they were red and knew they were green. You and I would know exactly what is being communicated but if you were not a familiar English speaker the above illustration would be a bit bamboozling. Every culture has their own style. We come across this in scripture often. If it is not decoded accurately the most bizarre conclusions are arrived at.

And...one of those bizarre conclusions would be to think He might come from Bozrah, come from the air and split the mount in two, AND come secretly in the air to gather together some people? It would be a mistake to think He could come from three places? Because I think they used to argue about where He would come from the first time and He wound up being from and coming from, all 3 places (Bethlehem, Egypt, Nazareth).God could easily repeat that again, as Eccles says He makes things to happen over and over again.

But what do you think bozrah means in that passage? Or Edom? What do you decode them to mean there?

It speaks of the spirit of grace and supplication. There will be no pride or glorying in their achievements....all glory and honour will belong to the lamb slain.

I think it's code for the land of rebellion (sin)

Wow, a can of worms was opened up here. Some refuse to open their eyes as to what is happening in Israel. Now eyes are
on Rome. Rome is nothing. Evil eyes are fixed on the Pope, as if he is the Antichrist, lol. He points people to Christ, believes in Christ, sacrificed his whole life for Christ and His flock. Sure their are flaws.
Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses that criticized many of their practices and rituals, but he WAS NOT CONDEMNING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, JUST REFUTING CERTAIN THINGS, exposing errors for the purpose of reform. Do not forget that they carried the gospel for a thousand years before the Protestant Reformation. Do not discount the missions, orphanages, hospitals and charities that they have spread along with the gospel and still do. Is that not worth something? Evidently God thinks so, other wise he wouldn't have waited a thousand years to send someone.
Has any person here who hates Catholics ever spoken to a priest, a nun and asked them about their lives, their faith and love for one another? They become celibate, a sacrifice I would not be willing to do. Would you have as a teen? "Yep, women are beautiful, but Mom, Dad, I'm going to deprive myself for life, go to seminary, become a priest and dedicate my life to God and serve His flock."
What do you do? What have you sacrificed?
Oh, a couple hours a day condemning Catholics and Jews online. Congratulations ... Rewards in heaven are being stored up.
