That Scripture was fulfilled in Acts, if God wanted for Jesus to return in the second century, nothing prevented it.
Later, A LOT of false renditions of Revelation were introduced, brought in, made up, by those in the employ of the enemy,
and still continue to lead people astray today.

That Scripture was in connection with all the other prophesies. The fig tree wasn't replanted until 1948.

The Gospel went out to the whole world BOTH in the 1st century, and now in the last century. Not sure why there is an argument over that fact.

It sounds like you're denying Jesus' second coming will happen. As to the "they have been saying it for the last 2K years" comment, Jesus said: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." - Matthew 24:14. Our generation is the only one that could have fulfilled that Scripture since the advent of radio, TV, satellite, the internet and now smart phones came along all at once in this generation. Matter of fact, you can go to third world nations and they won't have food to eat, but they have smart phones in their hands; this Gospel is truly be preached in all the world.

Yeah it'll come, maybe in a week, or a year, or a decade, or a century, or in another thousand years ...

Now I know we can't know the DAY or the HOUR, but how about leaving ignorance behind and actually KNOWING the YEAR, and maybe even the WEEK? -- Of course we can ONLY know up to the "week" because the FEAST is a multi-day event, and we can know the YEAR and the FEAST, but not the DAY or the HOUR within the FEAST.

1 Thess. 5:2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief.

Or is a SURPRISE more fun?

Ummmmmm, I would propose that the "fig tree" was planted in 1924, and gave fruit in 1948. But that's only because Scripture says so.

Today!! Read, hear, believe ==Last days are here today! Are you ready to meet Jesus in the clouds??
Jesus is telling the generation that sees all the signs He named would not die before His return. PTL. We are that generation. We are seeing the signs Jesus named Israel became a nation again after 2000 years May 15,1948 and the Jews are being brought back to their homeland Israel and the Jewish people regained control of Jerusalem July 1967 and we see the HUGE increase of man's knowledge and travel Bible prophecy talks about and the huge increase of big 6.0 + earthquakes and volcano eruptions worldwide, sink holes and the signs in the heavens=blood moons and weather changes, plague, pestilence!! Get ready to meet Jesus!!!

... Get ready to meet Jesus!!!

Some people have been "ready" for multiple decades. So continue your "warnings" for additional decades, scores, centuries, daytonas, and millennia.

Whew, will Jesus EVER COME? Will anyone EVER KNOW WHEN?

It was fulfilled in ACTS, as written, and continued / continues to be delivered to people today , also, though how much or where is , because of humongous deceptions everywhere, especially in religion , medicine, and politics, unknown at best, 'usually'.

God is able to reveal the truth, as always, and it is totally different than people's thoughts daily, worldwide,
until He reveals truth..

Can anyone see lightning ?

If the Gospel went out to the whole world in the 1st century as Jesus described, then the end would have come.

Every generation since Christ has thought that they were going to see the physical return of the Lord. Ours is no different. One thing is true... every day that passes places us one day closer to when it will happen.

We have seen many "indicators" that people screamed out "Repent! The time is Near!" WWII would have looked like it was time. The Black Plague would have looked like Jesus could return. COVID-19 pales in comparison to the horrors of the past. A "stay at home" order is not the end of the world!

I am not saying that Jesus could not return today! No one knows the time. What I ask is, what damage is done to Christ and Christianity when well-intentioned believers are wrong? Like the Millerites, the Jehovah's (false) Witnesses? The recent "prophecies" that Jesus will return on this date, or that date?

You're missing what Jesus said. He said the end would come once the Gospel was preached in all the world as a witness unto all nations. That could have never been done without modern technology as we have today to cover the whole world. Otherwise, Jesus would have already come.

No damage is done to Christ. Nor to truth, i.e. true Ekklesia. Christianity? Long deceptive... still not good worldwide.

Let's just go by what Scripture says.
He would not have already come UNLESS the Father Desired Jesus to have already come.

It was preached to the whole world. Paul says as much.

Colossians 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

The end also came. It was the end of that world-age.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
. . . .
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

And yes, Jesus also came for those who waited for him.

Here's the Scripture:

Matthew 24
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Our generation fulfills this. Does iniquity abound like no other generation in history? Absolutely yes. Can the Gospel be preached in all the world? Absolutely because of modern technology to reach the ends of the earth.

You seem to forget that angels can also preach the Gospel.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Good as far as you go, in Scripture.
But the Gospel was already preached to all the nations, IN SCRIPTURE.
"then shall the end come".... does not mean that it did already come, does it?

INDEED, it shall come just as written in Scripture, with no contradiction at all. (unlike those other traditions by another posted, that are contradictory to Scripture, being from tradition instead of from Scripture , and being opposed to Scripture.)

I am sure, or pretty certain, that you and others have read ACTS.

Including about Pentecost.

Out of the world, as written in ACTS (God's Word),

how many of the nations of the world (member's thereof) were present ?
