12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. - 1 John 5:11-12.
In Grace God doesn't straighten out your old life he puts a new life in you. When a person comes to understand they need something, when they figure out they need a savior, God does the greatest of all miracle's and puts a new life in them. That is what a Christian is, a person with Christ in them. Christ-person a believer, one with Christ in them. Have you heard the term "oh their a good Christian or oh their not that good of a Christian." No such thing either way! a Christian is simply a person with Christ in them. No such thing as good Christian's or bad Christian's, only Christian's. Now what you do with your life may be up for judgement by all God's little agents. Now what happened to you when you were born again will be your life's journey. The moment you believed an act of God (a cohabitation if you will) came into being, a birthing occurred. Another person (Christ) was birthed in you, the seed of God was placed in that believing sinner and the sinner ceases to exist any longer. Now you may have a sinning believer, which we do. But a sinner in the scriptures is a person that has never been birthed or born again.
Now of coarse in my theology that only happens when a believer gets himself straight for God so he can be used. I'm being facetious but that is how we think, we think like that because the world of religion is based on your doing. Living right, going to church when the doors are open, studying your bible, giving until it hurts, witnessing and so on. Most is man made and has nothing to do with who you are, you have been birthed by God the Father and that makes you who you are. Maybe you can take a look see at the scriptures and see what they may have to say to you about who you are. May be worth the effort because those that don't know are in for the ride of their life.
Those with knowledge are in for a ride, but those that lack knowledge! everything they touch will have the word impossible attached to it. For the simple reason they try to do what is already done. They work to improve their salvation. Now I'm all for lifestyle but if you don't know nothing you are just another do-gooder. Good is not the gospel. Life is the gospel (Christ in you) and the life we preach absultely will not come from your doing good. The life that comes is the Life you received the moment you believed, bless God.
There was a new life birthed in you when you were saved, that is the life you need to know and we have numerous Epistles that do nothing but talk about that life and how it came into exsistence. Bless you.
