According to his approach, none of them ever did because they are all in the "same club." Never mind the approach took that he would see himself accursed if his brethren in Judaism could be redeemed.
I'm trying to get GISMYS to see the light, but as usual he's putting up a pretty tough fight.

At last we have the right club! The Born-again Believers Club. But I'm still a little queasy about putting everyone into clubs and camps. Smacks too much of "us against them." As I was saying, Paul didn't take that approach. He wanted to see his brethren in Judaism get saved. I don't know that he would have ever started antagonistic conversations, either with or about them, with the words, "Little men love belonging to Clubs!"
I'm pretty sure Jesus doesn't separate us into 'clubs' or even denominations. If we belong to him we are all in the same 'club' which is the One True Church.

And formerly a Pharisee, whom according to your approach in this thread you would have antagonized rather than tried to lead to Christ.
See, I believe in correcting people when they are in error, and/ or sinning against others. But indiscriminately just goading people into a fight isn't Christian. That's not an approach I see supported by the word of God.
If it takes a little gentle "goading" to help people face truth =a very good thing!
I see his point, myself. It's all a balance of how tightly we hold to what we hold to. I think it's an altogether real risk that we can get pulled off center into a doctrinal alignment based on the desire for affirmations - the club - so as to introduce cognitive bias so that we can stay there, aligned, among friends, all with such and such view.
Or perhaps another term is "peer pressure". If you give in.

But "gentle goading" is deliberately antagonistic, IMO. The word "goading" is used of a type of cattle prod, that causes people to react. I regard this as a way of getting their demons to jump, as it were, and it sets the conversation immediately off in the wrong direction. Granted, their demons will likely goad them in the wrong direction the minute they read truth being posted anyway, but when you goad them yourself it's like you are giving the demons help in doing their job.
Scripture says, "As much as is possible, be at peace with all men," and also, "The word of truth is sown in peace by those making peace." Very hard to get a bull to do anything but charge you when you are waving a red flag at it. And then it becomes more of a sport and turning people into your own personal entertainment than actually trying to minister to them.
