He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

if we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1 John 2:1
I write these things unto you, that ye sin not


Apparently you believe 1 John 1:9 is not really true because if one confesses their sin God's Word clearly states that the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness

So in your view the Lord does not actually cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness, right?

Context answers your question. Before he would baptize the religious leaders wanting FORGIVENESS/REMISSION of their sins. What did John say?

MAT 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? :8 Bear fruit that befits repentance,

There are two different interpretations of this passage. The phrase could be read as saying that the Pharisees and Sadducees should do good works in order to be repentant. The other view is that good works are only an outgrowth of internal repentance as a fruit is the product of a healthy tree.

I’ve already posted when our sins are forgiven..read them, then look it up in scripture.

As i said, everything I posted is scriptural...do some studying/ research.

The clearest verse on God’s drawing to salvation is John 6:44 where Jesus declares that “no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.” The Greek word translated “draw” is helkuo, which means “to drag” (literally or figuratively). Clearly, this drawing is a one-sided affair. God does the drawing to salvation; we who are drawn have a passive role in the process. There is no doubt that we respond to His drawing us, but the drawing itself is all on His part

Have you ever noticed that folks often twist or omit what was written TO BELIEVERS in the church .
Rather odd indeed. My advice is , SINCE THOSE Letters were written to the CHURCH , then the CHURCH should
simply have HEEDED THEM , learned from them and not tried to say things like OH that is only for unbelievers .
