Threads lately about the dumb decisions we make in life, and what we might have told our younger selves had we had the chance.
Things You Wish You Could Tell Your Younger Self
So many of the mistakes I think come from not truly knowing ourselves well enough, which is at the heart of it, and it made me think of this song. It's written from the Buddhist perspective, and I'm certainly not advocating Buddhism here, but the idea of us all needing to return to the child God created us to be is nevertheless a good one. The world and its evils cause us all to die a little inside (hence the pale face they use in the video), but when the Lord Jesus Christ enters in and touches us, He immediately softens our hearts back to the sensitive child we once were, back from all the pain the world caused us when we were still young and innocent.
As He said to the disciples,
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” (Mark 10:14-15)
Typical of Progressive, this music is heavy, but from 1:16 on is what got me back into this genre back in 2013, and 2:45+ is truly beautiful instrumentation.
God bless,
Hidden In Him
Stop instead of running, look around
See the madness and evil everywhere
Stop instead of running, look around
Don't fear to open your eyes wider
You can choose your way on your own
Full of joy, the way without the rush
You can spread your wings and fly high, be above
Notice the self, recognize yourself
Take care of your temple
And nurture it because,
Because the goodness is hidden there
Notice the self, recognize yourself
As long as your nature reveals the signs
To find the true dimension of our life
Sing in your light
To the inner drum of your heart
As long as the nature reveals the signs
Back to the spring, to become the child
We're moving in circle to reach our rise
When the start and the end becomes united
Touch of golden cloud will be near
