Jesus also said, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now."

And who even now could or would dare say they can bear more than the "apostles??" Heaven forbid!

It's as if religious leaders have imposed a limit on those "many things" which Jesus assigned to the Holy Spirit...which of course would be anti-Christ!
What? Do not even understand this post, ScottA.

Jesus also said, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now."

Jesus said that before He ascended back to heaven.

After that, he gave the body of Christ "in the time of the Gentile"......Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles.
He was sent to give us all that info that all those 11 apostles, didn't know.

Paul was Christ's "Chosen Vessel" to deliver that info...

Many think Peter is the "key" but he's not.

Notice in Acts 10. This is about 10 yrs after Jesus is back in Heaven.
God gives Peter a VISiON< in Acts 10 = that teaches Peter that GENTILES can be SAVED.
Its 8 yrs after Act 2:38, and Peter still does not KNOW that the CROSS is for EVERYONE., not just Jews.

Paul didnt have that issue, because Jesus taught Paul what we are to learn about Church Doctrine, and all those other things that Jesus didnt tell the 11, because they could not hear it......"bear them now"
Paul said that his doctrine was not give to him by MAN, but by = """"Jesus Himself."""

What? Do not even understand this post, ScottA.

Paul "pressed on"...counselling that we should go "beyond the elementary principles of Christ", who Himself said He had many more things to say to them at that time, because they could "not bear it" all then. At the same time Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to lead "unto all truth"-- not just what they could then bear, but "all."

But here we are 2,000 years later, and if you "hear what the spirit says to the churches" and speak it out loud-- the church calls "Heretic!"...as if God were dead. :(

They didn’t even understand the gospel at that time let alone all the other things Jesus implied. They would not understand until Pentecost when they were born again and Jesus brought all His teachings to their remembrance at that time through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

So on this thread you publicly declare one must lead sinless perfection. You are preaching a false gospel

I stated, as i always will that Christ is the "one time eternal sacrifice for sin".

When we are born again, CHRIST has died for our sin, because "God hath made JESUS to BE OUR SIN".

We dont have it, if we are born again......

If you have sin, then Christ has not dealt with your sin yet, on the Cross.

The problem with that, is it falls short of "all truth." If it were not so, there would remain no more questions, no more debates or disagreements.

Again, that falls short of "all truth." History proves it.

The leading into all truth only applied to the Apostles not everyone. He is conflating the promise to the disciples and making it universal and misapplying scripture.

You posted..

""""Jesus also said, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now."'"""

So, now that ive shown you Paul's Ministry, you have recreated your verse to say...."all truth".
And that is not in the verse.

The verse says....>"Many things to say"......

And Paul was sent to tell us those "many things"

This is why Peter said that Paul's Letters, were "Scripture".......= to the Torah.

That is one of the original 11 apostles talking about PAUL's letters.

Yep and Paul along with the other disciples were granted to know all truth which are the scripture they had written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Yes He is and all my sins are already paid for. that is not a license to sin, but a freedom to glorify God and to know when I fall short as you and all believers do, we have the forgiveness of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. You have Gods love stopping at salvation if one who trusts Jesus as Savior ever sins again!

YOu rstandard for salvation is not the fact that Jesus paid for all your sin, but that plus having to live a sinless life- This is a false gospel. always was, is, and always will be!

And they wrote scripture ( all truth ) we call that our New Testament. Until Pentecost they were in the flesh not the spirit.

hope this helps !!!

You're missing the point.

You claim the promised "all truth" has all already come as if you have it and have no questions about anything. But not only do you not have "all truth"-- that's not what happened at Pentecost, that was just the beginning. Meanwhile, if I in that same Spirit try to reveal what has yet been revealed, you reject it. And for that same reason many have believed the foretold "lie" bringing upon themselves "strong delusion."

Moreover, I tell you that all that Jesus came for and spoke of as coming upon that generation, did indeed come to fruition...and ironically you reject that, but say "all truth" has come. But no, what you have rejected has been kept from you, and not only you, but many.

This is the topic of your thread--and you do not understand? ("Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?")

Do you not understand that Paul was saying that the elementary principles of Christ were "elementary?" That being "elementary" meant foundational, and that the whole house was still to be built upon it? That there was "many more" things that Jesus promised via the Holy Spirit--the prophecy of Joel which was to be "upon all flesh", not just those at Pentecost?

You are not connecting the dots.

"All truth" promised by Jesus, was and is relative to the Holy Spirit being poured out upon "all flesh." And "all truth" is not even evident now, let alone during Paul's time of ministry. On the contrary, Paul's ministry to the Gentiles was and is also "elementary", just as the principles of Jesus were also "elementary" to His disciples. Therefore, He made further promises.

Irony of ironies-- you who have put off to the future what Jesus said would come upon that very generation, now claim you have received what you have not received of "all truth"--evidenced by you not having "all" the answers.

You are not connecting the dots.

"All truth" promised by Jesus,

Consider that Jesus is the Truth.

"The Truth". John 14:6

He is "all the treasures of Wisdom of Knowledge". Colossians 2:3

Now, where is Jesus?
Well, He's seated at the right hand of Father God, and He's IN all the Born again.. ."Christ in You, the Hope of Glory"., and all the born again, are "In Christ", where you find THE Truth, and all the treasures of Wisdom and knowledge.

Also, "thy word is Truth"......and when Jesus was talking to those Jews in your verse, we didnt have the Bible, yet.

So, we have Jesus who is all this wisdom and knowledge, and He is the TRUTH, and its..... ALL IN US.
And we have the Bible, and "thy word is Truth.

That is all the TRUTH we will ever need and more.

What we needed with that was the "chosen" Teacher.
This is Paul.
Paul received from Jesus, not only Church Doctrine, but so much more that we are to learn, from PAUL.
"Pauline Theology" is the Theology for the "time of the Gentiles", and Paul is the "apostle to the gentiles".

Literally, almost every question you have about NT Theology = Doctrine, , is answered by Paul., nearly 100 %, because He wrote it.

Want to know about "gift of the Spirit"... .Paul teaches that.

How to build a church ? Go to Paul's epistles. Find out how.

How to deal with your wife, or husband, sexually? Go to Paul's epistles.

Upset stomach? God to Paul's Epistles.

How to choose a Pastor, Deacon? Read Paul's epistles.

on, and on ,and on, and on............. See PAUL for the answer.

And do this.. Paul said.."be a follower of me, as i follow Christ".

That was all well and good for these past 2,000 years--

But you have stopped short (as most have) of the end of all that is written-- that "all truth" and "the mystery of God...as He declared to His servants the prophets." is not "finished" until "the days of the sounding of the seventh angel." This is that time.

As for "all truth" being written and in the Bible--such a claim is not even biblical, for it is also written, "many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." Nor is "all truth" in us if "Christ is in us", "For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you”--and only to "you who hear, more will be given."

he Book of Hebrews is to Jews becoming Christians. Those dead works would be "works of the flesh of the Old Testament" such as physically keeping certain Jewish only things: feasts and ceremonial circumcision with a physical knife, only eating clean meats that could be used in sacrifices to God, and even the Sabbath day that can only be kept by the letter of the Law.
Even Noah knew the difference between clean and unclean meats, and the Sabbath was the 7th day blessed from the beginning.

What we know, is that the body of Christ is currently in the "time of the gentiles", until the Trib/GrtTrib, ..

And in the time of the Gentiles we have an Apostle to the Gentiles.
He's the only one of those.
=Paul

Also....

I believe that God will "preserve His word".........and "thy word is Truth".

This is the Holy Bible.

Im not a bible corrector, im a bible believer.

The first bible corrector said....>"Hath God said'.....To Eve.

The most recent of those, says.....>"there are contradictions in the bible". "Let me show you what it really says, in the K. Greek"

Its the same "spirit", in both cases, and im not of that "spirit".
