Of course I think he's completely deluded. What are some of the attributes that would clearly define these two prophets?

"These Two Prophets" as in Revelation Chapter 11?

He wouldn't be the first person to imagine himself to be one of the 2 witnesses. :(

As to your question. I think the very first thing Christian teachers and churches need to do to stop these kind of imaginations is to reexamine their own error - namely our tendency to over-literalise the book of Revelation. It is a book of symbols. Yes, symbols that represent literal realities, but symbols nonetheless. The 2 witnesses represent the Church of God, who in the last days will exercise spiritual power and authority like that of Moses and Elijah.

As long as Bible teachers, Pastors, evangelists, et al, choose to titillate the ears of their hearers with description of two super-heroes running around the earth, calling down fire from heaven, we will have delusions like the friend you are worried about.

Hi Angelina-- what attributes does he attribute to himself, that qualify, certify, or delude him into thinking as he does?

He must have told you why he feels this way?

I've met one of the two witnesses at least a dozen times on various Christian websites. I should say I've met at least a dozen folks claiming to be one of these two. Usually it's just a feeling they have.

On the other hand IF (I said IF because I don't know their identity) the two olive trees are alluding to Zerubabel (political office as governor of Judea) and Joshua (religious office of high priest) and the the two churches to a faithful "last of the last days" remnant, then no one who has a different interpretation will ackoweldge these two prophets.

For anyone who claims any prophet-status, I'd start with listening to his doctrine, and (edited): a good place (out of many) to start with that would be checking (for example) to see if he cuts Daniel 9:27 out of its place and pastes it in somewhere in the same 1,260 days as the two witnesses. So a true prophet will be able to show discerning Christians he knows what he's talking about. Trouble is, most won't acknowledge his calling or his message, but will keep following false prophets, just like in the days of the Old Testament prophets.

Hello prophet Christian G. Praying for a peaceful day for you today.

@shortangel I was only jokingly calling him prophet Christian G. The Holy Spirit helped him to see, understand and be able to teach correctly how God's 490 year timeline for the most important date in the history of creation - the crucifixion of Christ - is the last of four 490-year periods.

That's the mark of a prophet - his doctrine will be correct.

They will be able to strike the earth with plagues. That would be a give-away. Also, they will torch anyone who tries to hurt them.

Much love!

Only during their testimony which is during the GT.

Funny how people think they are one of the two great witnesses, but never John the Baptist.

They must be afraid of having their head chopped off!
