I have never said that I was. God knows for each of us, but in spite of what people say, I believe it to be a rare person who knows he is before he reaches the end of his course. Consider the words of Apostle Paul:John, How do you know your the elect of God?
"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God" Acts 20:24
"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Tim 4:6-8
I am not Paul and I do not believe I am so close as that to my end. I have met only a couple of people who might be approaching where he was when he wrote those words. For me... I know that my fight, my course is not yet finished. I move on in surrender to Him until He tells me otherwise.
