I confess that while frequenting a different message board, when Robin Williams died, I posted a post saying that I thought that he didn't make it to heaven.

The Lord would have me retract that post.

It is written in Luke 6:37 that if we condemn not, we shall not be condemned.

I confess to having had a religious spirit back then and if the Lord had come across me He would have likely said to me, "Woe to you, scribe and Pharisee, hypocrite!" although He may have also taken into account my mental illness which was not well-treated in those days and might have gone easy on me because of it. I do not offer it as an excuse but it is a part of the account that I give to the Lord on my day of judgment.

Clearly Robin believed in the goodness of the Father and had enough of a lifespan to have heard the words of Christ during his lifetime.

Therefore, based on John 5:24 (kjv), I state that there is a strong possibility that he is in heaven; although I am certainly not the final judge in this matter.

I hope that this post will account for the comfort of the Holy Spirit reaching those who continue to mourn his death.

I deeply apologize for my words before and I can only hope that this post will reach the people to whom my previous post caused damage; and bring them comfort.

Love in Christ,

Geoffrey Primanti.

I kinda figure we can comment on what we see, but that is about as far as we should take it. In my recent push for REBT, I said we tend to make all sorts of assessments about many things we aren't really accurately aware of, and that screws with our own heads as much as it pours garbage on others.

Glad to see you looking at things a little more objectively.

thats really lovely for you to say! Regardless of what anyone thinks of him as a person, in the end he was damaged like many others of us. He suffered quietly and had a very sad ending. On a positive note, when a person dies, his sins are forgiven, so he is not continually charged with sin.
as it says at Romans 6:7 "For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin."

I take great comfort though that not even the smallest 'sparrow falls to the ground without our Fathers knowledge' and it is also comforting to know what one day soon Robin Williams will, like many other billions of people, be resurrected to a much better life without the pain he obviously suffered in this one.

Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection+ of both the righteous and the unrighteous"

Isaiah 26:19
“Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust!
For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life
Let the resurrection come! Amen.

Who are you looking forward to meeting again??

I'm afraid that, in context, that is talking about dying to sin and not physical death....and also, in the kjv, it is not rendered "acquitted" but "freed" or "set free".
