Your interpretation of the verse is incorrect. It is NEVER a sin to look at another woman for her beauty, rather it is a sin to look at another woman lustfully, whether a man is single or married!!

To God Be The Glory

So the Christian community IS MISSING A WHOLE LOT OF DIVORCE CASES per your view!

The word "lust" in that NT Scripture is a Greek word that means to 'long after, to desire, to covet after'. It does NOT mean sexual intercourse.

Now just so you don't make the MISTAKE with embarrassing yourself by trying to take your spouse to court for divorce because of their falling in lust after another, BUT NOT FALLING IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, then you should learn the difference.

Understand that per God's law, the act of adultery involves sexual intercourse.

The verse says "look after a woman lustfully" and the intent there is wanting to "know" her in his heart thereby creating a lustful desire against his wife as in an adulterous situation if he was married. Looking at a woman is NEVER a sin!!

There is NO reference to sexual intercourse in that verse. The idea of "lust" Jesus is talking about is 'wantoness' that is the sin, because that desire can lead... to adultery. Thus Jesus is giving the 'spirit' of the thought that CAN CAUSE adultery.
