I think I would rather have a single payer system than this convoluted mess. Obamacare is only a wobbly step towards a single payer system.

Even the liberal media is complaining.......

http://www.nbcnews.com/health/26-000-signed-through-federal-obamacare-website-first-month-administration-2D11591428

There are 313.9 million American's, a mere 26,000 people have signed up - not too many more will qualify - .01% - one one hundredth of a percent! Even if the number increased by 10x, then it would be .1%, not even one whole percentage. If the number of people signing up increased by 100% - then it would be 1%. Do the math!

This entire debacle was passed for less than 1% of the population of America! There are WAY more people who have lost their insurance than are covered under Obamacare and due the increased cost of health care benefits by current insurance companies, millions of American families are spending approximately $1,000 for health care a month.

Yet, there are still people worshipping and praising his 'good works'. It's a shame this happened here.

It's by design. The insurance industry had to be razed before single payer could be implemented. Satan is very methodical in his strategy. And yes, I just attributed Obamacare to Satan.

I fear that all our redistributed wealth is counted for naught and is an unacceptable sacrifice.

Fortunately the government is extremely inept, so there will still be much to do for our neighbors as we move towards a more socialist society.

This is when we need to go the extra mile, as Jesus commanded, so that we may still be effective.

It will be interesting to see if Ocare collapses or is repealed. People who didn't buy insurance before because it was too expensive are unlikely to do so now when is 2x-4x more expensive. Certainly some portion of people who have lost their insurance due to Ocare, will not renew due to significantly increased premiums. Without that necessary money in the pool, premiums for the insured will have to rise. That will anger those people. It's an unsustainable system.

I agree, however the people who could not afford to purchase insurance before, and still can not, will have to pay a penalty for not. I have met a few people in this situation. These are the people who voted for Obama, loved the "FREE" healthcare, until they realized the opposers were right all along! Nothing is free.

I have not met anyone who likes it. Those on the right hate it because it increases the size and scope of government and increases their taxes and decreases their freedom. Those on the left hate it because it is not a single payer system and government does not control all aspects of it yet.

If I recall, the democrats were one vote away, Joe Liberman, from creating a single payer system, so they settled. Of course, the kicker was the Senator Kennedy passed away and then Scott Brown was elected in his stead who swore to nix the legislation. The solution was then to use Reconciliation to avoid Scott Walker. However, the problem became as Nancy Pelosi famously said, "We now have to pass it in order to see what is inside it."

It is no wonder that the legislation is so screwed up. Most understand this legislation to be a mere stepping stone for a single payer system. People naturally don't like change unless they feel a need to change. I think after this legislation is fully implemented most will feel the need to change. The question becomes, will they listen to the same voices and trust the same voices who told them that they could keep their own doctor and health care plan and that their premiums would go down?

I just now got off the phone trying to locate affordable healthcare when I saw this. And yes, I agree with you !

o'bama dipping his foot in a pool that was none of his business has caused me to lose my insurance and has set my health in a tail spin.

So yeah, attribute "oh-we-don't-care" to satan all you want. In fact, I'll join ya !

Edit for : Spelling.... :D

Uh, the topic of this thread has nothing to do with Christianity or the Bible.

Nowhere does the bible teach that the USA should be transformed into the United Socialist States of America.

I'm merely pointing out the greatest evil of socialism under a topic related to a socialist program. The credo of socialism could be Love your government and forget your neighbor. Doesn't that seem a bit contrary to Jesus' command to Love God and your neighbor? How can we present ourselves as living sacrifices and be servants to all when our help is not needed? Just look at the witnessing practice of paying for the person behind you at the drive-through. It disgusts me that Christians are reduced to this. Realize how inept we have become.

I have no hope in this course being averted, it is only a matter of time before we are a fully socialist nation.

And actually I disagree with Dodo David. The Bible has everything to do with what's going on in this country, a point I exposited fully in the thread I wrote today. We are amidst the very spiritual battle that the Bible warns us about. Immorality, political oppression, worship of government over God, all these are the domain of Satan who is a liar and the father of all lies. I find it hilarious that so many people try to separate the Bible from politics.

I've heard it promoted over christian radio. Occasionally someone will call in and and talk about how they started a chain of people paying for each-other.

Yes. I still laugh at their simplistic thinking that somebody's going to find their Chic Tract in the Men's room, read it, realize their need for a savior and drop to their knees right there.

If only it were so easy.

Vultures leave more meat on a zebra carcass than congress left on Obamacare. No one is happy with the current law, but it is a start in the right direction.

Chic Tracts are for people who already believe the lies and prejudice printed on the pages - it gives bigots a warm fuzzy feeling that other people share their 'ends justify the means' road to witnessing.
