2 Corinthians 1:12 (NASB)
“For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.”

Righteous behavior breeds confidence both before God and man.....Before God, because He is the ever living one to whom we must give account... Before man, because all men stand in the same accountability before God....

Therefore the testimony of our conscience, the testimony of our hearts, the testimony of our lives, all which are the fountains of life..... Which witness and testimony, becomes manifested through the doing of the right thing, the righteous thing, the good thing, the God pleasing thing...

Would one want to be secure both before God and man? Search after and do the good, proper, and right thing...

For the fruit of our doings, is the fruit that we receive....Righteousness to peace and joy, unrighteousness to misery, fear and defeat....

Thereforeconducting oneself in righteousness in the ever present now....Turning away from all unrighteousness wherever it might be found... For He of a truth does live in us....And will be found in the doing of the good, proper and right thing...

The more, the deeper and the longer one walks before God and man with a clear conscience, the more of Him will they know, see and experience... For knowing God is the knowing of righteousness, the knowing of righteousness comes from the doing of righteousness... Which in turn produces a clear conscience before Him whereby we have our secure and proud confidence before Him...

Righteousness, the doing of which grows and establishes one in their faith before God....Which once tasted and seen as to why He loves righteousness causes the heart to continually long, look, ache for more....

The righteousness that comes through faith, is the righteousness that will abide... Which is the faith in our death and resurrection in and with Christ... This faith will never lose or be defeated for there is no thing in all eternity that is stronger than Christ’s death and resurrection...Which we are invited to grab onto by faith, and make our own, which faith produces the fruit of righteousness..... The righteousness that comes from oneself or self-effort will sooner or later fail and be defeated .....

For by the grace of God, not in fleshly earthy and human wisdom and reasonings should we walk both before God and man.... For in righteousness does God wait to bless those who walk before Him in and with a clear conscience...

Which proud confidence comes through the testimony of our hearts of our behavior both towards God and man..

Be blessed all, a fellow striver after this proud confidence before God, Not me

This the KJV version: "For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward."

Different versions translate this as well as other verses differently... Be blessed as the Spirit of Christ in you, bears witness and speaks to your heart...
