Economic Revolution:
An economy is a system through which individuals, businesses, and governments produce, distribute, and consume goods and services to meet the needs of a society.
Definition and Scope
An economy encompasses all activities related to the
production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of goods and services. It is a social domain that involves human practices, transactions, and management of resources, including labor, capital, and natural resources, influenced by culture, technology, laws, and political structures
Act 4:34
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
Act 4:35
And laid
them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
And this began a system of Hierarchy.
a system in which members of an organization or society are ranked according to relative status or authority:
(the hierarchy)
the clergy of the Catholic Church or of an episcopal Church:
"the Roman Catholic hierarchy in Romania"
Well, we see where that got us.
The haves and the have nots.
Which led to Monarchy.
a form of government with a monarch at the head.
(the monarchy)
the monarch and royal family of a country:
"the monarchy is the focus of loyalty and service"
Again, the haves and the have nots.
What is the original economic system of America?
The United States was founded on a free-market capitalist system with a mixed approach that combined economic freedom with limited government regulation.
After independence in 1776, the United States began establishing a structured economy that emphasized private property, entrepreneurship, and market competition . The Industrial Revolution further accelerated economic growth, with innovations in manufacturing, transportation, and finance fostering a capitalist framework. Early American inventors and entrepreneurs, such as Eli Whitney and Samuel Slater, exemplified the system’s reliance on private initiative and technological innovation .
On which system did Paul operate?
1Co 16:1
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
1Co 16:2
Upon the first
day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
1Co 16:3
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by
your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
1Co 16:4
And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
The system we live under at this time is one of Give all you have to the Government and they will distribute as they see fit.
This is Socialism which puts the power of the purse in the hands of a few.
Capitalism puts the power of the purse in the hands who earn it and give through charity to those who have need,
The current system we live too away the ability to be charitable, making it impossible to give what we do not have.
In the case of Paul, it is God who prospered the people who were then able and willing to give to those in need.
What does it mean to prosper?
succeed in material terms; be financially successful:
make successful:
"God has wonderfully prospered this nation"
How can you give, what you do not have?
Jas 2:15
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be
ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what
doth it profit?
Jas 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
The Love of money is the root of all evil.
And if you love it, you won't want to share it. You won't want to give, you will covet it.
And yet without money we have no means to be charitable.
Luk 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Reciprocal.
Mat 25:40
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done
it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done
it unto me.
2Co 9:7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,
so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Economic Revolution.
You work, you earn, you supply, you give.
We don't need a Heirarchy or a Monarchy or an Overgrown Government to do that for us.
That is what Capitalism is all about.
Capitalism is an economic system in which private individuals or businesses own capital goods.
The problem with the young rich man was he didn't want to share.
We have to fix that, and not through government taxation or mandates or government social programs.
We have to do it in our own communities, first. And then as Paul did, gather together to send to those who are farther away if possible.
