Peter and Paul did not preach the same gospel messages. Below are the differences between the gospels and Apostleship's of Peter and Paul.

Peter's Apostleship: His Apostleship was commanded by Jesus Christ along with the other eleven disciples before Paul. Peter was primarily the Apostle to Israel (Galatians 2:8). Peter's Apostleship was diminishing after Paul was converted.

Paul's Apostleship: Paul was persecuting the church of God before being converted. After his conversion Paul was given revelations from the Lord Jesus Christ; Paul did not learn from any man including the twelve Apostles (Galatians 1:12). Paul was primarily the Apostle to Gentiles (Romans 11:13 2 Timothy 1:11).

Peter's Justification: Peter and the other eleven Apostles taught justification unto eternal life by believing on the name of Jesus; by believing Jesus is Christ, the Son of God (Acts 10:43 Matthew 16:16 Acts 4:12 Acts 2:36 John 20:31).

Peter preached that Israel under the old covenant was redeemed and cleansed by the crucifixion and shed blood of Jesus (Matthew 26:28 Hebrews 9:15 1 Peter 1:2 1 Peter 1:18-19 1 Peter 2:24). Peter preached forgiveness of sin at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19).

Paul's Justification: Paul taught justification unto eternal life by the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18 Galatians 6:14 Colossians 1:20). Justification by faith that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for complete salvation unto eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Colossians 2:10). Paul taught forgiveness of all sin now by the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7).

Peter's gospel: Peter preached remission of sins in the name of Jesus (Acts 10:43). Peter taught the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 9:2 Luke 9:6 2 Peter 1:11). Israel would inherit the promise of the Davidic kingdom on earth (Luke 1:32 Genesis 13:15). Israel would rule and reign with Jesus for a thousand year period (Revelation 20:6). Israel would be a light for salvation unto the Gentile nations that would enter the kingdom (Isaiah 60:3).

Paul's gospel: Paul taught the gospel of the uncircumcision (Galatians 2:7). Paul taught salvation to all freely by faith in Christ apart from the covenants of Israel, and apart from keeping the law (Romans 9:4 Romans 3:28 Galatians 2:19).

Peter and the resurrection: Peter preached the gospel of the circumcision (Galatians 2:7). Israel under the old covenant promises was promised to be a holy nation, a kingdom of kings and priests to rule over the Gentile nations with Christ (Revelation 1:6 Exodus 19:6 Revelation 5:10). Peter preached that the resurrection of Christ gave Israel assurance of that coming kingdom because Christ was raised to sit on the throne of David in that prophetic kingdom (1 Peter 1:3 Acts 3:25 Acts 2:30). Peter preached the receiving of the Holy Ghost to empower Israel to enter the kingdom (Luke 24:49 Acts 1:8 Acts 2:33 Acts 2:38).

Paul and the resurrection: Paul taught that Christ was risen for our justification (Romans 4:25).

Peter and works: Peter preached works as necessary for salvation in order to enter the kingdom (Acts 10:35 1 Peter 1:15 1 Peter 2:9 2 Peter 1:10-11). Peter preached to Israel repentance and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Peter preached holiness, and to remain steadfast unto the coming of Jesus and his kingdom (2 Peter 3:17).

Paul and works: Paul taught salvation without works (Titus 3:5 Romans 4:6 Ephesians 2:8-9).

Peter and the church: Peter preached to Israel (Acts 3:12). Gentiles had to come through Israel and it's covenants to be added to the church (Exodus 12:48 Acts 11:1); Gentiles had to believe the preaching of the word delivered to Israel as preached by Peter (Acts 13:48).

Paul and the church: Paul taught the church as the body of Christ, a new creature where there was neither Jew or Gentile (Galatians 6:15 Galatians 3:28 Ephesians 2:14).

Peter and heaven: Peter taught that Israel would receive the kingdom on earth ( Luke 9:2 Luke 9:6 2 Peter 1:11 Acts 2:30). He taught their reward was stored in heaven but not in heaven (1 Peter 1:4).

Paul and heaven: Paul taught the church seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).

Both Peter and Paul were ordained of God to preach the gospel. Those who believed their gospels are in Christ. Peter's gospel faded away as Israel was diminished, and is not the gospel that is preached today. Paul preaches the gospel by which we are saved today. Paul in his epistles reveal the mysteries and doctrine for the church today.

half correct, same Gospel, different aspect, or view from different perspective, Peter Jewish perspective, and God corrected him on the Gentile perspective which Paul was commission to.

SAME Gospel, just to which perspective for understanding.

At the very least, they differed over circumcision and eating with Gentiles. James imposed the Nazarean oath upon Paul because he was teaching a gospel that James and Peter opposed. Peter, of course, was not acting like "a rock"; he switched back and forth on the issue of 'eating with Gentiles.

More FALSE TEACHING from false teacher Doug (who simply cannot avoid going off into some bizarre doctrines). Beware of false apostles, false prophets, and false teachers.

All the apostles, and all true Gospel preachers and evangelists, have preached the same Gospel throughout history. Then how in the world could Peter and Paul have different Gospels? It boggles the mind that anyone would promote such foolishness.

PETER: THE GOSPEL IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD
Unto whom [the prophets of old] it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the Gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into... Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.

PAUL: FAITH IS GENERATED BY THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring Glad Tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

nope, faith is belief and trust, therefore both Paul and Peter preached justification by faith. to believe Christ or to trust Christ is still faith in Christ. besides Peter walked with Jesus through most of if not all of Jesus' public ministry and he could easily see that Jesus looked for faith in the people and honored it when He found it. I could see that by reading the gospels and I wasn't there.

Paul was by default a scholar of the OT or he wouldn't have been who he was before the road to Damascus. therefore he could see how and what Jesus fulfilled in scripture. the law mainly. and the result thereof.

both knew very well that the Life of Christ isn't justified by the law, even though Jesus fulfilled. the law in Jesus' case is a witness of who Jesus is, not the justifier of who Jesus is. therefore those who receive the Life of Christ, have the same standing.

also, both were commissioned by Jesus Christ Himself.

Yes, but remember where we are, and they(the whole wide world) are invited to 'discuss' their false gospels - whoever want to.

p.s. I think in Athens they did that (all the idols/ idolatry) too (remember, in Acts).... and finally because of God's Plan, the Apostle(s) LEFT Athens when God Directed them to....

Then, explain to me: what was happening in the book of Acts? Did Paul teach a gospel that did not require circumcision? Yes. Did he teach that it was ok to eat with gentiles? Yes. Did James place Paul under the Nazarean oath because he taught these things? Yes. Did Peter follow Paul, then switch his position in front of James? Yes. Then, did Peter go out from James and preach the same message as Paul? Yes. Why is that so problematic? Peter was human, humans are fickle sometimes. At another point, Paul taught that women are to keep their heads covered in church; he also mentioned that women should not speak in church (1Cor. 14:34). I believe in Christ crucified & raised, not in every word of the Bible.

As just posted in another thread,
Jesus says whoever rejects God's Word, has already rejected Jesus and the Father.

Yes, you are right, no one was ever justified by anything other than faith. That does not negate different gospels, nor similarities and differences, between Peter and the twelve, and Paul. For eternal life Israel had to believe in the name of Jesus, that he is Christ, Son of God. To enter the kingdom on earth, they had to believe the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus and the twelve.

You couldn't be more wrong. Peter and Paul, along with James, embraced one another as having the same Gospel, also referred to as the "right hand of fellowship." If they didn't agree, this wouldn't have happened.

We know they had to hash things out because of the differences in their ministries. Peter's point of origin was in Israel when Paul was called out among the Gentiles. But both Peter and Paul were told "to the Jew 1st and after that to the Gentile." Peter was told, along with his fellow apostles, to preach *to the nations.* He only began in Israel.

Peter and Paul use different words but reflect their audience. Paul said he became like the Jew to win the Jew and like the Gentile to win the Gentile. Peter "acted like a Gentile," according to Paul. But he addressed a letter "to the Dispersion," which was to Christian Jews, who likely retained some of their cultural practices. How, for example, would one get "uncircumcised?" ;)

There are too many subjects here to address. Both Peter and Paul required Christian works. Paul and Peter would argue that only Christ's work of atonement accomplished our redemption. This has nothing to do with whether Man can do good works or with whether Christianity requires that we do good works!

Christ's blood must be called upon in order to cleanse our works and to enable a complete transformation inside us. Men can do good as born again Christians, or they may do good as non-Christians, or even nominal Christians. Embracing Christ's blood enables us not just to do good but more, to *be good.* We must become, as Paul said, a "new creation."

This Gospel was the same for Peter and Paul, in my opinion. Language differences may be explained as *synonyms.*

Well they preached the same Gospel of Christ but they differed as to their approach.
Peter was indeed biased towards the Jewish culture of beliefs whereas Paul was all things to all men.

Amen. Not to mention, things changed "after the cross" as opposed to before. Jesus told the Apostles what had to happen to Him, they didn't like the news but, found out just what Christ was speaking of concerning His death.
Paul comes on the scene after the crucifixion and by then, allot changed, Jesus descended to the lower parts for 3 days, re-appeared to the 12, told them to wait in the upper room for the Holy Spirit to arrive after His departure to go to the Father. And, seeing as how Paul was to preach to the Gentiles, his message had to be somewhat different as, the Israelite's had different promises from God and, they are too complicated for my pea brain to list them but for one, are they not to have some kind of rule on this earth when all is said and done? Ahh...too much for me! lol.

In addition it took Peter 3 years to get over denying Him that night. ....He didn't come into the power and anointing to preach until Pentecost...Peter saved more souls than Paul....I think Paul was more of the Supervisor since he was always going around correcting the churches.

You know what I see in this? Paul-the apostle/prophet, Peter-Preacher, James-Evangelist/Teacher...the five fold ministry..

In addition it took Peter 3 years to get over denying Him that night. ....He didn't come into the power and anointing to preach until Pentecost...Peter saved more souls than Paul....I think Paul was more of the Supervisor since he was always going around correcting the churches.

Agreed, I see Paul as a Church planter too. But, why all this animosity against Paul?? Ah, poor Peter, had to be tearing him up pretty bad...thank God we have such a forgiving God! And yes, the Holy Spirit changed these guys instantly and, without the HS, they all would have fallen by the wayside in fear. And, also, I do agree that the differences were their styles of preaching yet, the same content! :)

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. It is the SAME Gospel.
