Ok I didn't see you mention that she wont eat or take her meds. I'm curious as to why they gave her antibiotics in the first place. Has an infection been diagnosed?
Was she given antibiotics prior to or during surgery? if so- she could be reacting to that.
If you can get probiotics in liquid form for dogs or even if you can get a pill down her throat- that may be what she needs. Her digestion and gut are messed up. If she was fine before surgery- then something changed her gut.
Antibiotics mess with us in many ways- some are hard to even imagine!
just my 02 - probiotics- certainly can't hurt her.

They didn't give her anti-biotics pre or during her surgery. They left it up to me if I wanted to give them to her and no, there was no indication that she had an infection. She did eat something yesterday and I was so hopeful but, last night she again had accidents and will not eat again, this morning. She is impossible to give a pill to, even when I get the tiny thing in her mouth, she refuses to swallow, even when I rub her throat and hold her head back...just spits it out and will not even chew a pill pocket.

I believe the Ibuprofen as well as the anesthesia have inflamed her digestive track. It's just a wait and see now.

She is impossible to give a pill to, even when I get the tiny thing in her mouth, she refuses to swallow, even when I rub her throat and hold her head back...just spits it out and will not even chew a pill pocket.

We've always had good results slathering the pill in peanut butter (creamy, not chunky) and mixing in with our dogs' food.

You just might be right about Ibuprofen. It can be so irritating to the lining.
Just a thought- maybe ginger/ turmeric in tincture form would soothe her insides. Works wonders for many. As long as she's drinking some water, I wouldn't stress about foods for now. Her system may need a good break to heal.

On day 7-Friday, she finally came around and has since been eating some, her bowel movements are not anything like they were previously. The Urgent Care I took her to on Thursday night really helped!

Thank you to all who prayed for my little dog. She started coming around on Friday...7 days and nights she was in such discomfort.

Y'know what works with Cerberus the Hell-hound? I put her pro pectalin horse-tablets on the kitchen counter, turn my back for five seconds, and when I look back, the pills are gone. That dog will eat anything, especially if she thinks it's forbidden. (Her indiscriminate eating habits are probably why she has to take pro pectalin (an anti-diarrheal) in the first place. Ugh.)

I'm glad Jazzy is feeling better. Thank you, Lord, for answered prayer.
