Faith in what? Evangelical doctrines?

Charlie sounds more like a legalist than a follower of Christ. I hope our brother can learn what God's nature is, which is explained to us here (and elsewhere).

1 John 4:7-21 esv
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Matthew 18:3
and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

I believe that we will be transformed in order that we can become like children and enter Heaven.

Or, Christ wants us the have the faith of a child who has no thought of the necessities of life, but totally depends on the parents for everything they need. Just simple faith!

I'm not speaking of the Law of Moses, Steven. I'm speaking of the Laws established by God throughout His Word.
Aren't most of God's laws in the Law of Moses? (the Pentateuch) Thus throughout.
They even speak of Jesus.

John 1:45 NIV
Philip found Nathanael and told him,
“We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law,
and about whom the prophets also wrote—
Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
Laws that say, "the wages of sin is death" that' a Law of God. He abides by that Law.
I agree that the wages of sin is death. That's the penalty Jesus paid for us all on the cross.
"If you believe not that I am He, you shall die in your sin" That is an established Law of God.
All of us will die in our sin. No getting around that.
You can be saved and still rebel against God! That is what you're doing.
Thanks, but I didn't need your permission. - LOL
I have plainly shown you, and you know it, that those who are cast in the Lake of Fire DO NOT get out.

Don't say I haven't shown you that! But yet you can't trust God that He knows what He's doing.
As I said earlier, where there is sausage, there is a meat grinder.
EVERY knee and EVERY tongue... on earth, in heaven, and under the earth. (in the realm of the dead)
You insist to have it your way. It's pure rebellion against God. You do not trust in Him that His way is the right way.
Nonsense. What I don't trust is my evangelical upbringing.
That's the wedge between us, Steven. You are in total rebellion against my God, and I don't like it.
He's my God too. Don't I have any say in this?
Why should you get to determine what I believe about God?
And why should you use a doctrinal opinion come between us?
I don't like what you are doing either. But I would not make that a wedgie. - LOL

Well start acting like He's your God, and stop with the second guessing that He's doing the right thing!

Next.
All are justified freely.

Romans 3:24 NIV
and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Yes, I'm hopeful that this fool's errand of a topic will end well.
Great post, thanks.

What about the Law of God that states, "the just shall live by faith?"

Do all have faith in Christ, Steven?

When you come to terms with God's Laws, you will understand the Scripture!

Agreed. What do you suppose that means in practical terms?

I'm not sure that I'm understanding your question.

Children are typically fun-loving, open minded, accepting, and willing to forgive their playmates and then continue playing as if nothing happened.

As we age we lose those wonderful qualities. In this world we are defective.

Jesus is going to heal us of all of that and transform us into beings that are fun, kind, and forgiving and then we can enter Heaven, or so I believe.

Just because you had a bad experience with the established system does not give you the right to body slam the true Church of God.

There are some good Churches out there, and you have no right to throw them in the mix.
The "true" Church of God? The one that meets your expectations? Is that the "true" one?
I agree that the apostate church rules society. but that does not give you an excuse before God.
Are you body slamming the apostate church?
I listen to you slam the Church on a constant basis and I'm sick if it!
Just to be clear, I'm slamming doctrines I disagree with, not the church people that are under this veil.
I'm all about the business of education to unveil these false doctrines.
Like God told Elijah, gird up your loins and be a man! Go find that Church God wants you in and stop crying about it!
As I said earlier, I am in a church. And I don't agree with everything being taught. The woship is great though.

Not once for SOME.

No, Steven, why don't you just be honest! You are slamming the Church in general because we won't accept your pitiful UR stand!

I'll clarify again. This will sound familiar.
I respect anyone that has done the work to establish their position on the final judgment.
You have obviously done your homework, I respect that. I don't have to agree with your conclusion.

How do you feel about Annihilationism? That's another biblical position on the final judgment.

As I have clearly shown you, Everlasting/eternal in Matt. 25:41, 46 is without end.

So how can Annihilationism be a part of sound doctrine found in Scripture?

The just have already been justified. "... all are justified freely..." - Romans 3:24 NIV
Living by faith is a result, not a cause.
