By your logic @Jay Ross then perhaps none of us need this forum.
It's online after all.

Perhaps, none of us need this forum. My advise to anyone on any forum is that the advice should be tested to see if it is right for us before we follow the said advice because the advice could come from anyone, whether they are qualified or not to provide advice, as they may not be Christian at all.

Do you know what you mean as to your own culpability in that last statement?

And after a protracted post prior. Which you now seem to be upset over when someone questions your advice.

Thanks for throwing more oil on the fire. It is what I need right at the moment from someone, who is, well not astute in what they do.

It is nice to see that you have not seen that the person, you are defending, twisted what I had actually said as if I had said that lilygrace was angry. Seems like you have missed the point that I was making as well.

a family member signed me up to make something for a church lunch i dont feel like it and i dont know if i want to go to the lunch. i ddint know they were going to do that. i have schoolwork :(
would it be rude to cancel? the church staff thinks it was me since my information was used.

I would suggest you phone up the church office find out who is in charge of the luncheon, speak to them and tell them the truth! That a family member signed you up unknowing you already had other plans and you will not be able to participate in the luncheon.

God Bless,
Taken

Brother, maybe it would be nice to just let it go. Our sister innocently asked advice on a Christian forum. She is wise enough to weigh out the advices given.

The church might be right for me if i attended it with healthy family members. It seems they feel more pressured to make something. So therefore i am projected to make something. I am neutral to this church. I don't think they are bad people. I might make a box cake. Low pressure.

lilygrace, if that is what God is telling you to do, then that is great, as far as I am concerned.

May the Lord still bless you as He draws you into His loving embrace.

I saw that you used the word "angry." That's why I thought that. I didn't intend to offend you. I think this is enough. Let's just call it good, please. I'm sorry if you've had a bad day .... idk if that's the case, but I really meant no harm to you. I really like you. This seems out of character for you.

Social media, which this forum is a part of, is not the best place to seek good advice from. That is what I have come to understand from the experts who counsel people for a living.

This is seen by the jumping to conclusions that you have demonstrated above, with your responses to what I had posted. In Australia we would suggest that you were caught out with both feet in your mouth.

As for having a bad day, that is just not me.

Why are you here giving advice if you feel this way? Isn't that a bit contradicting? I have seen a lot of really good advice in this thread, including yours. I just wanted to express to you that lilygrace isn't angry. She simply asked advice from her brothers and sisters.

Done. I think you're on a tangent. That's not profitable to anyone.

Then why did you start this exchange when it was not needed as you have admitted, simply because you saw one word out of context to the intent I was expressing.

Stop trying to tell me that I have a problem, when your objection or clarification was out of order.

Or can you not see that?

I understand what you are trying to say.... basically you are offering advice about seeking advice on a forum when you don't know anything about the person you are communicating with...we have had a round of experiences with members who have caused a lot harm to others with their rhetoric and even advice .
This is good wisdom...on any type of media source you use to engage with others.
God Bless

I agree...there are a lot of people with good intentions who have caused harm to others

Listen, I've tried to make peace. Why are you still carrying this on when I said nothing wrong? You are the one who asked lilygrace why should she be angry about the situation. If you didn't mean it the way it sounded, simply explain and move on. There is no need in this continuing.

Good night....

That argument is obsolete in this situation. No one gave ill advice. The only harm here is the ongoing attacks against me which have cause lilygrace to regret even asking a simple benign question.

Yes you have, sister.
@Jay Ross can you help get this thread back on topic?
Thank you.

Perhaps, but it doesn't mean someone won't....so let's move on...if it is possible. Amen?
