I'm not a Calvinist, and I don't believe in OSAS, but why wouldn't I believe in an elect that is predestined?

OSAS is not something to "believe in" so im not sure what you are talking about..

There is the fact that if you are born again, you are always born again.
There is also the eternal reality that God who saved someone through faith in Christ, keeps them saved.

Philippians 1:6

Also, when discussing the "conforming" of the Elect, its to be understood that the elect are "predestined to be conformed" not predestined to be the elect.

The "conforming" is simply the end result of being born again, as all the born again are conformed FINALLY and TOTALLY into the "image of Christ", as that is the final end result of all those who are born again.
The Foreknowledge of God, knows who will be born again and also who will make the choice to die a Christ Rejector, but, He does not CAUSE this....as "foreknowledge" is just the omnipotent ability of God to "know everything about everything" = before it happens.
Only God has this "foreknowledge", tho the Bible has quite a bit of it as Revelation Knowledge, and as End Time Prophesy.

Hyper Calvinists reinvented this ability that God has as a twisted theological doctrine of demons that they teach.
They infect "christian" forums like a cancer, like a spiritual death.
See, they teach that KNOWING Is CAUSING.....and in fact, Knowing is only Knowing.
"Foreknowledge" does not mean to CAUSE......It only means to KNOW before it happens, what is going to happen.

John 1:12 says..

Reader.....Notice the condition to receive this Power from God that IS the "power to BECOME a Son of God".

The condition is..."received Him".

Who is Him? Him: is JESUS......This is faith in Christ = is how you receive Him.
And when you do this, God then gives you HIS power to become a Son of God.
Now, to be born again, is the PROCESS of the Power that the Holy Spirit causes.
But what is the actual POWER?

ITs this.....> Romans 1:16.

Notice reader.....that this power produces something when it is applied through your faith.
It produces.... "unto Salvation".
This means, you are taken from darkness to Light, and from Hell to Heaven... From lost to Saved.. From sinner to Redeemed Saint.
You are changed from unbeliever to believer, which IS the Power, and in this is your Salvation and your eternal life found.

This is why Paul teaches you that he "preaches the CROSS".....as the POWER of the Transformation, that causes you to become a Son of God, is only BASED ON "the Cross" and "belief".

This is why Jesus tells you in John 14:6, that He is THE WAY to God.
He is explaining the LITERAL CROSS of CHRIST that is "the power of God, unto Salvation".

Not Water.
Not commandments
Not deeds, self effort, or "trying to be like Christ".

Only the Cross and Christ the Redeemer has God provided as "the Power of God UNTO Salvation" for as many as BELIEVE.
Give God your Faith in Christ and God will produce in you, for you, and through you, the power to become a "new Creation" "in Christ"..."one with God"..... Born Again.

We are the literal children of the most high.
