In order to win anyone, you first have to prove that the Catholic Church is indeed a continuation of the Church founded in Acts. We know that is not the case. It was founded more than 200 years later, and when it was formed, it went away from the order the early church established. You can clearly see how they mixed paganism into their worship to win people from other religions. One might argue that the intentions were good, but this is not allowed by God.I can understand where you are coming from but even the Catechism states in part 1, section 2, Chapter 3, Article 9, Paragraph 3, Section 1, Sub paragraph 817-819:
817 In fact, "in this one and only Church of God from its very beginnings there arose certain rifts, which the Apostle strongly censures as damnable. But in subsequent centuries much more serious dissensions appeared and large communities became separated from full communion with the Catholic Church - for which, often enough, men of both sides were to blame."269 The ruptures that wound the unity of Christ's Body - here we must distinguish heresy, apostasy, and schism270 - do not occur without human sin:
Where there are sins, there are also divisions, schisms, heresies, and disputes. Where there is virtue, however, there also are harmony and unity, from which arise the one heart and one soul of all believers.271
818 "However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers . . . . All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church."272
819 "Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth"273 are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements."274 Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him,275 and are in themselves calls to "Catholic unity."276

So the Protestants now or not held liable for there ancestors sin. The way to win someone to your side is not to hit them over the head with a hammer like in your op but in gentleness and with humility show them the way to the truth.
In my case, I was baptized in a Catholic Church as a baby, but was not raised Catholic. My parents left the Catholic Church and became Methodist when I was 2 years old. I remained United Methodist till I accepted Jesus at the age of 17, and wound up choosing to join a Pentecostal Holiness Church. I heard all the arguments from Catholics about them being "the Church," and how everyone else was in rebellion by protesting the RCC. As such, I investigated it in light of scripture. I have read the Bible cover to cover at least 20 times. From the Protestant point of view, Catholics mixed paganism in their worship and changed things like Diana worship to Mary worship. They changed worship of idols to praying to statues of departed saints. Having listened to Mass and looked into the RCC, it was obvious the protestant position is correct. As such, there was no sin in leaving the Catholic Church. The bigger sin is remaining. Anyone that prays to statues, looks at Mary as a go between to Jesus, and does things like that are in sin.
