God's word directs us and faith speaks the future in a personal way not dependent on folks that might get it wrong.

I'm asking in the New Testament, were there no personal prophecies spoken, only that which would apply to everyone as Scripture?

There was the transitional Apostolic period in Acts; then the Scriptures were completed.

Do you know that a covenant is complete in itself, and nothing can be removed or cease UNTIL the end of the covenant? The end of our covenant is at the second coming, not before.

They had prophets that gave them inspired directions about looming events. But Scripture gives us the same direction concerning what to do. And the burden God places on us in the Spirit tells us when to do.

We still have the same apostles through their writings as permanent fixtures in the church. God's word in scripture is the only prophecy today.

So what? I just showed you were in error about what is 'perfect'. Do you acknowledge that? Of course not. You just try and divert to another rabbit trail.

God's Word in Scripture has just showed you that you were wrong.

The Scriptures don't tell us which job to take, but the Spirit can and does.

Actually the New Covenant does NOT end at the Second Coming of Christ. Quite the opposite. Redeemed and restored Israel on earth, as well as the saved nations surrounding i,t will all be under the New Covenant, which is eternal, because of the infinite and eternal value of the blood of Christ.

At the same time, what was true during the Apostolic Age is no longer true (in many respects) for the current Church age, and again will not be true during the Millennium and beyond. Therefore we must rightly divide the Word of Truth and also understand the differences under the New Covenant.

According to your second paragraph you actually have the end of the New Covenant as the end of the Apostolic Age. Others put it further to the publication of the Bible. Neither is correct. You had it right in the first paragraph and the gifts are part of our New Covenant, and they have not ceased - yet. Nothing in a covenant ends until the covenant itself ends.

Yes, it's called peace of mind from the witness of the Spirit.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13) (KJV 1900)

Chapter and verse.

Quantrill
“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.” (1 Corinthians 13:9) (KJV 1900)

Do you think scripture is perfect?

“But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.” (1 Corinthians 13:10) (KJV 1900)

I already showed you that which is 'perfect' in these verses is not the Scripture.

Of course Scripture is perfect. But that is not what is being addressed here.

But, love hope and faith remain after tongues cease. You do not need hope or faith in heaven = scripture replaced tongues.
