It's false. Prophets wrote scripture when they spoke.
Does it apply to everyone, not just personal?

God's word directs us and faith speaks the future in a personal way not dependent on folks that might get it wrong.Does it apply to everyone, not just personal?

There was the transitional Apostolic period in Acts; then the Scriptures were completed.I'm asking in the New Testament, were there no personal prophecies spoken, only that which would apply to everyone as Scripture?

They had prophets that gave them inspired directions about looming events. But Scripture gives us the same direction concerning what to do. We still have the same apostles through their writings as permanent fixtures in the church. God's word in scripture is the only prophecy today.
Scripture replaces tongues, prophecy and knowledge. Also the signs and wonders gifts used only by the apostles.
Word of Knowledge is now covered by scripture, as are tongues and prophecy.

Actually the New Covenant does NOT end at the Second Coming of Christ. Quite the opposite. Redeemed and restored Israel on earth, as well as the saved nations surrounding i,t will all be under the New Covenant, which is eternal, because of the infinite and eternal value of the blood of Christ.Do you know that a covenant is complete in itself, and nothing can be removed or cease UNTIL the end of the covenant? The end of our covenant is at the second coming, not before.

At the same time, what was true during the Apostolic Age is no longer true (in many respects) for the current Church age, and again will not be true during the Millennium and beyond. Therefore we must rightly divide the Word of Truth and also understand the differences under the New Covenant.
Yes, it's called peace of mind from the witness of the Spirit. The Scriptures don't tell us which job to take, but the Spirit can and does.

Do you think scripture is perfect?
“But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.” (1 Corinthians 13:10) (KJV 1900)

If scripture is perfect, and does a better job than the fragmentary gifts of tongues, prophecy, and knowledge, why fuss?See post #(417)

But, love hope and faith remain after tongues cease. You do not need hope or faith in heaven = scripture replaced tongues.I already showed you that which is 'perfect' in these verses is not the Scripture.
Of course Scripture is perfect. But that is not what is being addressed here.
