Perhaps the "you" should be a "your" such that what is "something that is boring and tedious because it never changes or varies" in your life, can become "something of great importance, consequence, or significance, especially because of its profound impact on future events" even though Abraham never saw the fulfilment of what was to become "momentous" during his own lifetime even though Abraham had stepped out with God to discover God's earth which God promised to show him even though he only saw a very small portion of that entity which God had promised that he and his descendants would possess as their distant future inheritance.​

Remember that it was Abraham's and his descendants' response to God's promises by how they lived their lives, during their respective lifetimes, that will confirm the final righteous outcome and possession.​
