John 7:7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

And He was killed because... hmmmm

Matt. 5:11
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

People would act like this because..... okay, it's not love,....but you say it's not hate, so what is it??

Luke 4:28-29
And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

This is just anger, not hate?? Okay let's look some more....

Matt. 12:14
Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Mark 3:6
And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Luke 6:11
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

John 5:18
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Truly???

Acts 13:45
But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

Acts 14:19
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

2 Cor. 11:25
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
Still, nowhere in there does it say Jesus (or Paul) were hated.

Think why people reacted so strongly against Paul...if they hated Jesus, it follows that they would hate anyone who follows Him.
Hate’s an emotion.

Jesus said the world hates me.
And it does indeed if you walk in his shoes.

Emotion isn't a thing right?
It's just a figment of our imagination.. if that exists too right?

The Bible wasn’t written with emotional suppression.

You have never experienced being hated.
I will agree to “ Disagree “.....

The Bible shows the opposite. Jesus spoke truth yet he was more hated, to the point of death, than loved. Paul was stoned for speaking lies??? ;) I dont't think so!! Why was Paul hated....it was his testimony that was hated....his testimony of Jesus Christ.
Amen!..Laurina.

Actually question & inspect. It’s not really agreeing to disagree if no one’s disagreeing in the first place.
You wouldn’t know that, that’s just your opinion as mine is.
No it’s a fact. It isn’t possible for you to experience being hated.
This is why it is not said anywhere in the Bible that Jesus or Paul were hated.

In your opinion it’s a fact..

It was said in the Bible that Jesus was hated...it’s there in his “ Living” word....therefore I suggest you take it up with God...

You seem “ blinded” to Gods truth...anyway I won’t be arguing over it.....you’re entitled to voice your own opinion as am I....I can only go by the word of God....not your word.

I’m also going to put you on ignore...I find you talk a lot of nonsense..which is boring and nothing that Glorifies God...bye,bye.

No. It’s quite literally not possible. Hate is an emotion.

Site the passage.

That would be opinion.

Isolate & exclude if you like.

This is Jesus speaking here.
Imo/ belief.

John 15:18-27

King James Version

18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

1. The world hates believers because it hates Jesus Christ (John 15:18-25).

The Living word of God, only the Holy Spirit can reveal the truth of Gods word to our heart/ spirit and “Yes” as we see here,Jesus warns his disciples.about the world “ hating”him.

Praise God that man can’t erase the truth of Gods word from our heart/ spirit and Praise God for the witness of the Holy Spirit..

In John 15:18-25, Jesus warns his disciples to expect persecution from the world. If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you… I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.

Also remember.

1 Corinthians 2:14

King James Version

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Phil has his own theory of what is and isn't reality.
I don't understand it therefore I can't fully explain it.
All I can say is, don't get frustrated arguing.
Just smile and keep on walking.

I disagree, and scripture has been cited in previous posts.
If you choose to ignore what is written in the Bible because "Hate's an emotion", that's on you.

Hate’s an emotion.
An emotion that can be expressed and /or acted out and/or upon/ directed toward someone or something.

I just wish you hadn't used Oprah as an example for the opening post.
She's not a very good example.

João Teixeira de Faria, known as “John of God” and Oprah Winfrey’s one-time spiritual guide, has been sentenced to 99 years in prison after horrific accusations that include the rape and abuse of more than 600 women and young girls.

Along with that, he is accused of being part of a baby trafficking ring that sold newborns to childless parents.

He allegedly operated in Brazil, running “farms” of young girls, who were forced to have babies to sell. Victims were often reported missing or murdered after 10 years of giving birth, per multiple outlets.

“Faria’s faith-based healing skills drew the attention of TV host Oprah Winfrey, who said on her website that she interviewed him at his clinic in 2013 and saw him performing psychic surgeries.”

Be careful who you follow.

Random Acts of Kindness

Random acts of kindness is a beautiful “thing”.

I believe the beauty of such a gesture is without any consideration or foreknowledge of the recipients ….
Personal, political, religious, views.

IOW, it is Love from the Heart…and negates an interrogation to carnally determine if the recipient is worthy of kindness.

Glory to God,
Taken

It’s not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. It either does or doesn’t say this in the Bible, and it doesn’t say Jesus or Paul were hated, and this has not been sited in previous posts.

The very point is - not ignoring that it does not say this in the Bible.

Hate is an emotion and the Bible was not written in ignorance.

Emotions are not things, behaviors or actions.

Emotions is intrinsic guidance.

Reality’s infinite, so there isn’t what is and isn’t reality.

Frustration is an emotion.

Well, emotions play a big role in the bible whether they be intrinsic or not.
And it is how man is guided to do good or evil.
Emotions come from the heart. And we were born with them.
So whether they fit into your theory or not, they do exist, even if outside your scope of understanding.

It is what it is.
