Everyone? No, RWB read my post and liked it. Perhaps, you can ask him to guide you to my post that you didn't seem to read at all.
Say a natural man who denies the love of the Truth. :-)
You allow your foul mouth going rampant without thinking carefully. Sound like you are confused with some things.
I never teach or suggest that the believing dead will experience a soul sleep. They immediately go into heaven when they physically dead. BUT THE
REST OF THE DEAD, those who do not believe Christ and have not yet experienced the first resurrection which is being BORN AGAIN in Christ like the believers did. Their unbelieving souls will go "sleep" or in silence.
Think..
God is making here is that
The rest of the dead (
The unsaved who die), they do not live again until the second resurrection. That is the resurrection of these rest of the dead, these souls of the unsaved who have died. These who weren't raised up from death to new life in the "
First Resurrection" of Christ. These don't live again (
or have conscious existence) until what is the next resurrection not the first, when they will be raised up to stand for judgment. Until then, they live not. They are in a place or state of silence where they have no conscience existence where they can speak to anyone. Here's my simple chart:
1st Death:
The death in Adam, where as Federal head He brought
all of mankind into the bondage of sin requiring its
wages, which was death death, the separation of man
from God. Any non-believers who leave this earth in
physical death having not been raised up in Christ's
first resurrection do not live (their souls have no
conscious existence) again until the 2nd resurrection. |
1st Resurrection:
Every single believer who was Dead from the
Sin of Adam, has been raised up from the
dead to new life in the second Adam, Jesus
Christ, has had part in His 1st resurrection.
As part of the being the "First Born From The
Dead" the penalty of sin of death (the second
death) cannot harm them. for they can never
die. ...He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. |
2nd Resurrection:
At The second coming, at the last trumpet, at
the last day, when those Saints that are alive
will be raised up to meet Jesus in the air, and
Judgment of the unsaved who are living will
occur. The unbelievers who have died will be
raised up from their soul sleep (the rest of the
dead not having been raised in Christ's First
Resurrection) to stand for Judgment along with
those unsaved who are left on earth. |
2nd Death:
The Judgment that is meted out By GOD upon the
unsaved. It is HELL! There shall be weeping and
grinding of teeth! This is the death that the wages
of sin brings forth. It's punishment. The 1st
Resurrection (Those raised in Christ) have no need to
worry about this, as the power of the Cross of Christ
(1st Resurrection) has taken away the sting of death. |
And so we see that when people die, the destinations are totally different. The saved in their souls go to live and reign with Christ (
because they, resurrected in Christ, can never die) and the unsaved go down to silence (
some call it soul sleep, I prefer the biblical terms of "not living again") until they are resurrected from that non-life, or non-conscious existence to stand before God's throne and be judged. In short, the souls of the Saints go to reign and praise God for evermore, and the souls of the rest of the dead wait in non-life non-conscious state of silence for the final judgment.
Psalms 115:17-18
- "The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
- But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD."
Here again, one contrasted with the other. the souls of the saints continue on to bless the lord from now and forevermore because we never see this death in silence that the unsaved see.
Psalms 88:10-12
- "Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
- Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?
- Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?"
Shall the unbelieving dead arise and praise God? No, only the living saints who never die will praise Him forever more. Selah. As contrasted with the scriptures declaring that the saved who die will cease not to say Holy, Holy, Holy. That can only be because they live after death with Christ, while the unsaved dead know NOTHING as they are in a
state of forgetfulness (soul sleep) until they are raised in the 2nd resurrection to be judged.
This is in line perfectly with what Jesus told the thief on the cross whom He included:
Luke 23:42-43
- "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
- And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."
For this theft to be with Christ who was risen to the throne of God in paradise, he has to be a living soul, because flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
Philippians 1:21
- "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
To die for the Christian is gain not because Paul goes to soul sleep, but because Paul's soul is immediately in the paradise of God where he will live and reign with Him. This is the gain, which is a far better place than this sin-cursed earth.
Selah!
Blah blah blah. Talking like a pharisee who do not like hearing what Christ talked about. That is your problem.
