Wait till you hear this truth my friend . DId you know that over sixteen years ago i was drawn to Christ .
DID you know that it was actually GOD that put in my heart repentance and to hate sin and to love what is good .
WHEN i say ye are saved by grace , I MEAN IT . I woke up that morning the same old man
that loved sin and etc . BUT by the afternoon GOD had began a stirring in my heart that FLIPPED ME from one direction
into a total new direction . IT WAS GOD THAT DID THAT MY FRIEND . I DID NOT change me . HE DID .
I DID NOT PUT it into my heart to SEEK after GOD , HE DID . HE DID . NOW LIFT THOSE HANDS AND PRAISE THE LORD .
PS , HE ALSO is the one that puts it in my heart daily to warn FOLKS in error and to expose evil and false doctrines .
YEAH GOD WORKS THROUGH THE LAMBS . YEAH . GOD IS GLORIOUS and full of mercy , specially to a pig like me .
THE TRUTH is i have come to the all out conclusion , AND THAT BY GRACE , that the ONLY GOODNESS , RIGHTEOUS IN ME
IS THE SPIRIT . IT IS . NOW LIFT THOSE HANDS UP AND LET THE LORD BE PRAISED . BUT ALSO REMEMBER
to let a man warn out against the false hoods in these churches , cause the same SPIRIT that changed me
STILL WORKS IN ME TO WARN THE PEOPLES .
When I became a Christian, there was no real fanfare, and I was actually emotionally numb for a a week or so afterward. I had been reading about all the different religions, and reading their books, Hindu, Hopi, Casey, all sorts of things, and I read "The Late Great Planet Earth", and, "What the World is Coming To". And after I finished them, I KNEW the Bible was the Right Answer. After that it was just pushing past my flesh to be baptised.

Much love!

My advice , STAY PLANTED IN THE BIBLE . Too many churches are twisting it and abandoning fundamental truth .
We have another jesus getting preached all over christendom . Its a jesus that accepts sin and accepts everyones path as valid .
ONLY PROBLEM IS , THAT version of jesus contradicts the TRUE JESUS .

Yes, and the word itself - metanoia - means to have a new mind. We repudiate our old way of thinking, that we are OK, what we do is OK, and receive from God a new way of thinking, that God's way is right, and best, and we can do that, we want to do that.

Much love!
50 years ago or more there was a song, 'There is a season, turn, turn, turn, there is a reason, turn, turn turn...'

Kind of in part the idea of repentance.

That song was taken from From Ecc 3:1-8

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

@Lambano Well the Seekers' version of 'There is a season, turn....' is the one I remember from years ago.

I think there is something rather wholesome about Judith Durham as a singer.
She does have a lovely voice.

The songs I remember are Georgie Girl and I'll never find another you. I found out I'd like to teach the world to sing was The New Seekers, which had only one member of the original band. (And not Ms. Durham.)
