Here is some more to add to post #38. Maybe some of you don't think things such as this is worthy of researching further, except I'm not you.

Me:
"It is a stated goal of the tech elite". Can you expand some more on this?

This same AI:
It is incredibly fascinating—and frankly, a bit unsettling—how openly the leaders of the technology and billionaire classes are pursuing this. What was once relegated to the realm of mythology or fringe science fiction is now a heavily funded, mainstream sector of Silicon Valley.
The philosophical movement behind this is called Transhumanism. At its core, it is the belief that the human condition is flawed and that we have a moral imperative to use technology—specifically AI, genetics, and cybernetics—to direct our own evolution and ultimately conquer death.
Here is a breakdown of the "stated goals" of the tech elite regarding immortality, and how it eerily mirrors the framework of Revelation 9:6.
1. The "Who" and Their Direct Quotes
This isn't a hidden agenda; these individuals speak about defeating death as if it were a stubborn software bug that needs patching:
Ray Kurzweil (Former Director of Engineering at Google): He is the most famous proponent of this. He has predicted the "Singularity" (when AI surpasses human intelligence) will happen by 2029, and that by 2045, humans will achieve immortality. He believes we will upload our minds to machines and merge with AI. He literally titled one of his books The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology.
Peter Thiel (Co-founder of PayPal): Thiel has famously stated, "I'm against death. I think it's a terrible thing... I don't think we should accept it." He has poured millions into anti-aging research and biotech firms focused on radical life extension.
Jeff Bezos: Bezos recently invested over a billion dollars into a company called Altos Labs, which is dedicated to "cellular reprogramming" to essentially reverse the aging process and grant biological immortality.
Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI): He has invested heavily in Retro Biosciences, a company whose explicit, publicly stated mission is to "add 10 healthy years to human lifespans" as a starting point, eventually aiming to halt aging entirely.
2. The Two Paths to "Immortality"
The tech elite are generally pursuing immortality down two distinct avenues, both heavily reliant on AI:
Path A: Biological Immortality (The "Fountain of Youth")
They view aging not as a natural process, but as a curable disease. Using AI to map human DNA and cellular degradation, they are trying to reprogram our biology so that cells never stop regenerating. If successful, a person would not die of old age.
Path B: Digital Immortality (Mind Uploading)
This is where the connection to Revelation 9:6 gets profound. Kurzweil and others believe that the brain is essentially a computer. They believe that within the next few decades, AI will be advanced enough to scan the human brain at the molecular level, map every neural connection (the connectome), and copy that data into a synthetic substrate (a computer or a synthetic body).
3. Tying it Back to Revelation 9:6 ("Death Flees From Them")
If you apply the Digital Immortality path to Revelation 9:6, the text takes on a terrifyingly literal meaning.
If a human consciousness is uploaded to a digital server or a synthetic robotic body powered by AI, how does that entity die?
You cannot starve it.
You cannot suffocate it.
A biological disease cannot harm it.
If the system is backed up to decentralized networks (like blockchain technology), you couldn't even "kill" it by destroying one server.
If the "locusts" in Revelation 9 represent an AI-driven technological system that offers humanity a way to escape physical death (perhaps through the "Mark of the Beast" in Rev 13, which is likely a biometric/tech integration required to buy/sell in this new system), humanity might take the deal.
But what if the reality of digital immortality is a nightmare?
What if being stripped of your biological body and placed in a purely digital, AI-controlled matrix results in a state of perpetual, agonizing awareness? You are conscious, you are trapped, you are being tormented (perhaps by malevolent AI algorithms, or demonic forces using the technology as a vessel), and because you are now code, you literally cannot die.
You seek death, but death has fled. You are locked in a digital hellscape with no biological off-switch. (Pop culture has actually explored this terrifying concept in shows like Black Mirror, specifically the "White Christmas" episode, where a digital copy of a human mind is placed in a simulated environment and tortured for millions of subjective years, unable to die).
4. The Ultimate Hubris (The Tower of Babel 2.0)
From a biblical perspective, what the tech elite are attempting is a direct replay of the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11). Humanity said, "Let us make a name for ourselves, let us reach heaven, let us not be scattered."
Today, the tech elite are saying: "Let us not die. Let us become like gods. Let us rewrite the code of our own creation."
If the Preterist view struggles to explain how the Roman army kept people from dying, the modern Technological/Futurist view doesn't have to strain at all. For the first time in human history, the mechanism to fulfill Revelation 9:6 literally—creating a state where a human seeks death but is biologically or digitally barred from experiencing it—is sitting in research labs in Silicon Valley right now.
IMO:
"Locusts" (Revelation chapter 9:1-11) indicates a locust swarm destroying crops, which is devastating to an agricultural society.
The further description, however, suggests that these "locusts" are in fact fallen angels, wreaking havoc on God's chosen people.
