You'll take your first step as a "grown up" believer

:Ohpleze:

give Jesus The Lord all the Credit due Him and His Cross

Christ took all my sins away when I first believed. I never stated otherwise. But you are very sneaky in placing a false light on your opponent.

Very sneaky…

for keeping you saved.

He doesn’t keep you saved. This is a talking point of whatever false teaching you got caught up in (and you cited no scripture for this claim).

He saved us by taking our past sins away.

“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past” (Romans 3:25)

That was his mission as it is written in the holy scriptures.

But if we willingly return to sin afterwards:

“…there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:26-29)

You'll take your first step as a "grown up" believer, when you cease trying to keep yourself saved, and begin to give Jesus The Lord all the Credit due Him and His Cross for keeping you saved.

So much venom you have!

If you paid attention to context and number, you would know Paul is talking about Jews vs. Gentiles in romans 10 and not individuals.

The fact we cannot lose our salvation is so well established in Scripture as should leave any follower of Jesus without doubt.

As Scripture says for but one instance:

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Context is critical. The Jews were in the olive tree to begin with because they were the "natural branches" and not because they were all saved. Because of their unbelief and hard hearts God removed His gracious hand from them as a people overall and broke them off from His goodness (but only for a time after which they will be restored - Romans 11:24-26). We Gentiles have now been grafted into God's goodness.

Professing Christians who are Gentiles are corporately in outward covenant with Christ so, it makes perfect sense that Romans 11 is speaking of collective ecclesiology and not individual soteriology. I see the warning to this collective body, which is corporately joined to Christ and is in a covenant relationship, but how could this mean that every individual in it is in saving union with Christ? Hence the "cut off." Union with Christ applies to the elect, and only for the elect are, "the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable." (verse 29)

But since non-elect covenant members are mixed in, Christ clearly appears to have non-elect branches, like Judas Iscariot (John 15:1-8; 6:64-71: 13:10-11) and while they may be joined outwardly in covenant with Christ, since they have professed faith in Jesus, the faith of some of them is spurious because they were never truly saved to begin with, even though they were among genuine believers. (1 John 2:19).

Do you know me in life?
Do i sound like im passive, meek, and soft?
I think you defined me as a Hetero", recently., Johann.
You got that one right.
So, Then take that insulting innuendo idiot speak out of your (self proclaimed) sin confessing mouth.

My home is in the middle east.
IN the Middle East, taking a stand for Christ will get your head sawed off while the Arabs film it on their Iphones and play it later on their Big Screen TV, for their family to watch as your head comes off.
My Home is ISRAEL.. .and in my bedroom is a GAS MASK, and Israeli's live on "alarm" all day all night waiting for the Arabs (Palestinians) to hit us with a poison rocket.

When is the last time you had to go outside, taking shelter under an apartment building.....while the bombs were falling all around?

In Israel, if you are in your car, on the street, and the bomb sirens go off, .. where do you go?
Try that one a few hundred times, and find out what "REAL LIFE" can be like.

To answer your question...I personally have taught Pauline Theology on both sides of the world for many years.
Im fortunate to have 2 Brothers in the ministry also, tho one is deceased.
I have a home on both sides of the world, tho its only a place i stay in the STATES, and my real "home" is in Netanya.

So watch your mouth there...., disrespectful one.
Im trying to help you.

Here is the faith im standing on..

Hebrews 12:2

"Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith"..

And you are advised to:

“…stand fast in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

And you are advised to do this in that faith:

“Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.” (Romans 11:20-21)

That's it? Your true colors are now manifesting.
Think you have it "tough" in Israel? Come here mate, and see how it will fare with you.
While you're at it, get some carbolic soap to wash out that mouth.

You speak like a person who has not lived in Israel.

My "true colors" just showed you how to behave on My Thread.

Maybe God will send me there, Johann.
If he does, i'll let you know.
After all, if you want to accuse me of "doing nothing", you need to do that to my face and not hiding behind a Screen.
That seems fair and right, doesn't it?

Also, You can't even understand the Cross of Christ, so, be careful who you insult that does.

You are not on MY THREAD to learn.... so, until you are that willing one, its not going to work out well for you here.
Heretics who park on my Threads to preach, get resolved.
Listen, you are that typical type who actually believes that if you post long, redundant, confused posts, that just because of sheer volume, this must make it all true.
Well, guess again, before you do it again.

He [ @Behold ] doesn’t have to, his fictional Jesus will keep him saved.

Better yet, his flesh isn’t even him!

He’s in the heavens already in the spirit.

We’re just talking to some fleshly non entity typing on a keyboard somewhere…

The Jesus i serve, is the one who will set you free from your Legalism.
Ive seen John Calvin's shackles fall right off the eyes of his deceived.
They've even PM'd me many times on many forums, and thanked Jesus.
I praised Him with them.
They listened.
So should you 2.

Its the Spirit that is born again.. The body isn't and will return to the dirt.

also, all believers are "seated in heavenly places in Christ"...."One with God".
Thats the "New Creation"..(not the body)..... as Thats one of the eternal effects of being born again.

None of your loooong intellectual explanations have anything to do with the warning of the text whatsoever:

“…thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.” (Romans 11:20-22)

You @mailmandan , you stand by faith!

We all do!

This scripture is clear.

The saved Romans are contrasted to the unbelieving Jews.

@mailmandan and @Behold and @Ronald Nolette (did I miss anyone?) they can be highminded! They don’t have to stand fast in the faith!

They might as well cross out these scriptures:

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

“…thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.” (Romans 11:20-21)

You are sucking me into your thread with questions,
J.

Have i asked you any questions, other then...."why only the endless cut and paste".
Ive asked you that a few times.
Other questions?.......hummm..

So, read this with your NT turned to "Paul's Epistles".

1.) To be reconciled to God, has to be based on God.
Why?
Because its God who requires it, and so, its God who sent Christ The Lord to The Cross to provide to the world what HE REQUIRES so that anyone and everyone can become reconciled to Him....= ""The Gift of Salvation"".
This is the Righteousness of God., given as a "Gift"

God offers eternal righteousness and eternal forgiveness and eternal life to all of us.....as a "GIFT".
""""The Gift of Salvation.""""

2.) How do we go to heaven?
We go by meeting God's requirement.
And what is it?
"The work of God is that you believe in JESUS, whom God sent'.
Jesus said.....>"you must be born again".. and what does that provide ??? It provides to you = to become "made righteous".. so that by this "gift of righteousness" you are allowed to exist where God exists now and forever, as there is no sin found there.. only RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Reader, we can't do this for ourselves. WE can't eternally take care of our own sin, or become righteous of ourselves.... and until our sin is eternally resolved, then we are LOST and Separated from God.

Solution?

God sent Christ The Lord down here to provide us with a holy Eternal life, in place of our sinful one.
"I came to give you life and that more abundantly". "i am The Way, The Truth, and The Life".
Jesus lived the perfect sinless life for US...., and God's gift of Salvation is to give us this very life of Christ, as if we lived it.
This is to become "a New Creation" IN Christ.
Jesus, the Living Bread come down from Heaven.... lived and died here on this EARTH on The Cross = to provide us with His very own righteousness, in place of our sinful unrighteousness.
God's Righteousness is Christ. When we are born again, we have become "the Righteousness of God, in Christ".
"Christ in you, the hope of Glory""", proves you have God's Gift of Righteousness.

3.) The NT verse says...>"""For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we (you and me)... might be made the righteousness of God in Him.""""
We get Christ's Righteous as "the Gift of Righteousness..."" And Christ becomes our sin, and dies for it. "For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us"

Look closely reader.....

"God made CHRIST."". """to BE SIN......for us"".

Look at that.. That is Christ Jesus becoming our SIN on the Cross.....and by this we who BELIEVE Become. = ""made the righteousness of GOD"..'In Christ".

See that?
Notice that Jesus became your sin, and you became "RIGHTEOUS"...= if you are born again and not just water baptized.
This is SALVATiON.....Its the ""GIFT of SALVATiON".....and the "GIFT of Righteousness".. its the reality of becoming "made righteous" = as a "New creation in Christ'.... Born again.
What is this?
Its Christ becoming your entire sinful life, and DYING, as the punishment do you for your sinful life, and you becoming a "new Creation in Christ" as "the rightousness of God in Christ".

4.) And what do you become, because of this REDEMPTION?.... You become, as born again, the holy Life lived as Christ, as if you lived it, always and forever. That is "The GIFT of Salvation" that Christ died to provided you for FREE..
See that?
That is sin exchanged for Righteousness.
That is the CROSS.
That is the "Gift of Salvation" and the "Gift of Righteousness" provided to you as REDEMPTION.

"as Christ IS.......so are the born again....in this world"...

See that???

That is all the born again., that is the end result of your Faith that God accepts to provide that for you....as a "GIFT".
That is what it means to be SAVED and "made righteous"...BY.."the gift of righteousness", and "the gift of Salvation"., that is found as the Cross of Christ.

Jesus, Literally, is your Salvation.
He is your Eternal Life.
Christ is your Resurrection and your Redemption.

Who has this for eternity?

Only the born again.

Jesus Said..>"You must be born again".
