I'm wondering if God sanctions all sexual acts in marriage no matter how deviant they might be, like BDSM and other such taboos.

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

it sounds like this verse is talking about adultery and the like, but could it also be talking about specific acts within marriage when it comes to sex?

This link below says this

Hebrews 13:4 says the marriage bed should be kept pure. Pure means “wholesome and clean.” These few words say so much.

The first thing that impresses me is the fact that the marriage bed is pure. Sex within marriage is God’s plan.

What do you think? Is everything fair game in God's eyes when it comes to marital relations or does God not want us to indulge in deviancies?

You ask good questions....

Sex in marriage is sanctioned, but sex outside of marriage is not.
Is all sexual conduct sanctioned in marriage though?
Deviant sexual activity would certainly not have God’s approval.

When we understand the sanctity of marriage, and that sex is primarily for the noble purpose of producing children, then we can appreciate that it is meant to be a loving act, not an excuse for expressing pure lust. The fact that sex is pleasurable was a bonus, but not the primary purpose. ‘Keeping the marriage bed honorable’ means understanding that God has standards that we should not overstep just because it feels good to fallen flesh. (Colossians 3:5)

Clean minds produce clean conduct. Respect for God’s standards of morality can be difficult in a world obsessed with sex and violence, (Romans 12:2) which is the devil’s trademark......so certain things practiced by the world should not enter a Christian household. Our bodies are designed for the purpose of creating life, so any practice that violates what is “natural” would not have God’s sanction, nor would “rape” in marriage....or depriving each other sexually out of spite.

The apostle Paul wrote...
“Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is better for a man not to touch a woman; 2 but because of the prevalence of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife and each woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband give to his wife her due, and let the wife also do likewise to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but her husband does; likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but his wife does. 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent for an appointed time, so that you may devote time to prayer and may come together again, in order that Satan may not keep tempting you for your lack of self-control.”

The Bible always gives us God’s balanced view of things.

LOL!!! gET REAL!!! You know the answer to that question.

1 Thessalonians 4:4

“That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;”
all Christians, men and women, should know how to maintain control of their bodies in a way that pleases God in sexual holiness.

Exploitation of any kind is wrong. Behaviors that result from sinful conditions are wrong. BDSM, for instance, centers on debasement. We are called to edify. Not to merely satisfy our lusts regardless of the cost to someone else. There's a high road and a low road, and I believe that as Spirit filled Christians, if we want to, we can easily know which is which.

Much love!

Of course, there is a certain amount of sexual freedom in the marriage. "Keeping the marriage bed undefiled" is simply another way of saying, "Don't have a non-husband or a non-wife in your bed, Don't commit adultery." It doesn't have a thing to do with kinky sex.

But to answer your question, yes, a person can become "sexually dirty" with a spouse. Anything that leads one's self or the other to think adulterous thoughts would be "sexually dirty."

Certain acts of sex may not be sin, but may certainly not be conducive to treating the other one in a kind way, or in a respectful way. In that case, failing to serve the other would be something like selfishness or perhaps worse, a sin if it tempts the other to turn to various forms of paganism.

Demanding sex, for example, is a form of selfishness. A person may be ill or "not in the mood." Or, one may want to have sex patterned after some form of pornography viewed on TV (by accident). In that case, adopting a pagan spirit may be incompatible with the Holy Spirit. You really have to just remain in the love of God, and in so doing love your spouse in the same way.

That's a good relevant scripture. thanks. but I think it might be aimed at the unmarried Christians.

That's a gray area, shade #37.

Okay, that wasn't funny.

The scriptures that come to mind are:

All things are permitted for me, but not all things are beneficial All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. ... But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. (1 Corinthians 6:12, 13b)

All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful, but not all things build up. No one is to seek his own good, but rather that of the other. (1 Corinthians 10:23-24)

I'm not going to even try to define what πορνείᾳ, "sexual immorality" is; the Church's history of trying to define what was permissible and when it was permissible to do it was more about establishing control over the flock. I will just summarize it by saying that sex (or what used to be called "lovemaking") should build up the marriage relationship and seek the good of the spouse.

And Jesus will hold us accountable for this too.
