The point is to focus on sin and wickedness rather than holiness and righteousness. Another one of those threads which Satan loves.
We all know that there are all kinds of sexual perversions being promoted today. At the same time there are all kinds of other evil and wickedness that are just as sickening. There is only one remedy. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

if we were to take a look at the bible's regulations regarding sexual relations, what we see as the common denominator is the fact that anything that is an affront not only to God's first ever commandment to be fruitful and multiply, but to his promise to make Abraham's descendants as numerous as the stars of the sky is sin.
So the most fundamental one that would need to be addressed would be fornication, and that would have to also include sexual relations anytime before or after a man's wife was ovulating. We see this pointed out with the commandment forbidding sex anytime within seven days before or after the beginning or end of a wife's cycle. This leaves them with the best opportunity for fertilization to take place.
As soon as that law is transgressed, the dominoes are just going to keep falling. This is what we begin to see quite soon afterwards, and even openly condoned and justified by the Catholic church as well as her daughters. When they make such a big deal about it, you know it's not going to go unnoticed, but time seems pretty good at covering up the fact that these are open defiant transgressions against God's sovereign commandments.
