Tends to hurt big business that produce alcohol and tobacco, but also hurts those who consume the products, which includes a larger percentage of the poor.

Are you in favor of 'sin' tax? If so, which products should it include?

Although I lean politically liberal - I am very much in favor of taxing nonessential products that cause harm to people's health - even if it affects are felt mostly by the poor. I believe that taxes from the sale of tobacco and alcohol and pornography and rated R movies and violent video games and fast food, should be imposed and the revenues should be used to provide health coverage.

I think taxes are more likely to promote reform than law.

aspen2,
But we dont all agree with your views on what is harmful.

I realize that, which is why I asked,

"Are you in favor of 'sin' tax? If so, which products should it include?"

The little do gooder speaks, the despicable little control freak with his own agenda....to weak and cowardly to carry it out but more than willing to surrender to the ideology that promises him it will be so.
