So, Who's All Passing Out Candy?

Ya know for Halloween. Are you having or doing trick-or-treating this year? With all the new protocols we just decided that it isn't really worth the trouble.

that's a hard question, we don't get trick or treaters at our door in Eastern OR, with Covid-19 passing out Candy might be hard this year

I don’t celebrate Halloween, and I never buy candy - if anyone knocks the door I choose to ignore it. Children go round the estate and dress up. I flatly refuse to get involved as it means nothing to me at all, the trick or treating came over to our shores from the USA and became a money spinner for commercialism - along with the pumpkins. It wasn’t really around when I grew up, we celebrated guy fawkes night ( 5th November ).
We are in a second lockdown in many areas at the moment ( not where I live, well not yet ) So those who do celebrate are being encouraged to find a different way. Parents buying candy and having online events to ear them. I am sure the children will still dress up.

My current idea is to have our kids go “trick or treating” around to stuffed animals placed around the house, doing activities at each one before the candy.

We never get any trick or treaters in our building. Apartment buildings in Los Angeles are all locked. Because of Covid-19, there might not be as many....but I guess some kids go to certain neighborhoods that do hand out candy.
