Does God define us as sinners? Just sinners? for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Roman 3:23
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
A boy steals a piece of candy, he later repents....does God define him as a thief forever.
As imperfect as we are God loves us beyond compare.
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26
Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God. Galatians 4:7
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, John 1:12
and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. John 11:52
and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1st John 2:2
The campaign to define the children of God as totally deprived...as dirty filthy rags....promotes sin....it goes hand in hand with the beliefs of Once Saved Always Saved and Calvinism. Trying to make people believe that trying to be moral is impossible. Just give up and given in to sin, believing that if you believe in Christ you can do whatever you want and go to heaven. Heaven full of evil.
“If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Genesis 4:7 God expects us to resist sin and do the best we can.
We are not perfect and salvation was never intended to be only for the perfect. But we should try our best to be good and do good.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; 1st Thessalonians 4:3-5
Seeing ourselves as the children God is much more productive and much more correct. Aim small, miss small. Strive for perfection even though you will stubble as you go and Christ will be there to pick you up, dust you off and send you off to march on smartly, because He knows when you are trying your best to be good and do good.

OH, that's what I thought. Some posts are deleted but only if they don't follow the rules of discussion. Anyways, I haven't seen any rule breaking. But I only get into debates a little. I tend to stay in the Prayer, Welcome New Users, Testimony, Spirituality and Fellowship forums.
I understand Devin but I like a good ol' scuffle now and again and thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

Regarding #8 "8. Why does God hold me responsible for another man's sin who lived thousands of years ago (Rom_5:12-21)?"
In this I believe children are innocent and raised by their parents into a sinful nature. I don't believe that sin and death happens without acting or not acting in an evil work. They get to know good and evil and succumb to sin because of Adam and Eve bringing the Knowledge of Good and evil into the world. Jesus taught us what it takes to live without sin. So that sins are actions that we either do and don't take, but either way they are evil actions.

Brother, I should clarify. My response was a little confusing. Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil and that is passed down into the human bodies and brains of the children. But children's brains aren't developed until a certain age of accountability. That age varies depending on the country you live in as courts have described. But courts try to establish an age of accountability. So at what age has a child's mind grown into a brain that can comprehend good and evil? Unsure. But I don't believe children are sinners. Does God judge those with brains that don't function properly? That is something you have to ask yourself. Who is God as a judge of the children?
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" Rom 1:16
Without the lead of the Holy Spirit in a person what is he able to understand from the scriptures even written in his first language?
Too many people believe that with enough study a person can understand God's message in the written scriptures. I do not believe that. Have I ever been wrong? Most definitely!
