I never said all things in this world are evil. But if you are a born again Christian saying that there is nothing wrong with taking in a typical Hollywood movie and scripture tells us to abstain from all appearance of evil, how do you reconcile the two?

Am I going to hell for watching a horror movie? I mean... If you rae gonna pick and choose what is good or not good for you, that is your personal choice. If you have children you have only so much time before they go on about their own way and decide their own choices as long as they haven't been brainwashed in a way that is horrible.

Parents do messed up things to their own children sometimes, they manipulate their little brains and everything else.

I mean... the problem is the heart in the end. I can watch a horror movie and be just fine. That choice to watch it is up to me... I am 35 years old and seen many types of movies... whether i want to go watch them or not is up to me.

Seen Backrooms the other day and i thought it was a great movie. You might see it and say it's evil...

So... I mean it's all subjective.

@Luther7 what is your view of how God looks at the world is another question to ask yourself.

I see that God loves the world. Not everything in the world is great.. but God still loved all people anyway he sent his Son.

What you make of that is up to you.

There are people that go around and say God hates the world and hates the people in the world.

That is not good to me, and I also dont believe that.

Whatever you want to think... You don't have to prove anything to me. I just personally don't mind watching movies and enjoy them. There is nothing wrong with media. If people do not want media in their life that is okay. I don't see everyone walking around as all antichrist people, there may be people who just have not came around to God and the Lord Yeshua yet. There may be people that have been burned by the church and maybe they do not go anymore but that doesn't mean they are antichrist either.

Thank you for sharing the way you think, that is fine. You are allowed to think however you want to.

To your other question, "isnt the world being the world against Christ." I don't think so, it's just the fleshly things which are of the world.

Even Christian people with hearts for God can be rich... I dont think making movies is evil...

People can be jealous of what people have and Jesus said that too is even a heart problem.
Interesting how you said: "there may be people who just have not came around to God and the Lord Yeshua yet".
Just wondering why you worded it that way. Is the name Jesus ok for you?

I'm glad to hear that. There may be an occasional movie that is relatively " clean". But in every movie there is never recognition given to the One true God. Never anything positive to say about Christianity. This is obviously because these people hate Jesus Christ with a passion for the most part.

I hear what you’re saying. I just don’t look at every movie through the lens of “they must mention God or else they hate Him.” Most people in the world don’t think that way, and a lot of them aren’t anti‑Christ — they’re just living life, creating stories, or expressing their own experiences.

And honestly, I used to hate Jesus too when I was younger. I didn’t understand Him, and I didn’t know God. But that didn’t mean I was possessed or anti‑Christ — it just meant I was lost and hurting. A lot of people are in that same place.

So I don’t assume every filmmaker or actor hates Jesus. Some might, sure, but others just don’t know Him yet. Some were burned by religion. Some are indifferent. And some actually do reference Jesus, the cross, or spiritual themes — they just don’t always get it right.

Either way, I appreciate the conversation. I’m not trying to change your mind; I’m just sharing where I’m coming from.

I realize you aren't trying to change my mind. Let me leave you with this verse, tell me what you think please.
1 John 2:15-16 KJV
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

  • 1 John 2:15-16 KJV
  • Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Sure thing.

When I read 1 John 2:15–16, I see John talking about what rules your heart, not whether you enjoy normal things in life. “The world” in that passage is defined by him as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — desires that pull your affection away from God. It’s about priority, not participation in everyday life.

If you’re in a real relationship with God, you’re honest with Him about your struggles. You’re not living in fear, begging for forgiveness every moment — because “we all sin and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The issue isn’t that you sin; it’s whether something becomes more important than God.

The world is going to be the world. People eat hotdogs, watch fireworks, spend time with family — none of that is “loving the world” in the sense John means. Sinful worldliness is when your desires shift away from God and toward things that replace Him.

That’s why Paul said, “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are beneficial” (1 Corinthians 10:23). The activity itself isn’t the problem — the direction of your heart is. Anything that leads you away from loving God, or causes you to put something above Him, weakens the relationship. That’s the real danger John is warning about.

May you take whatever is useful and good. I am done with the conversation now. Thank you.

Does an angel have the ability to thread a nut onto a bolt?

Only if the threads of the bolt and the nut match each other dimensionally. If the pitch, of either the bolt or the nut, is even only slightly different to the other the nut, within the limitation of the number of threads engaged, will bind up on the bolt.

Got it....you can't thread a 1/4-20 nit onto an 8-32 bolt.

I quess the point is, angels are physical and have the ability to make space craft. IMO.
