I guess I am wasting my time here. You cut off a sentence to prove your point??? The fuller phrase is 'besides me, there is no God'.
A difference between night and day...black and white. LOL
Yes, you're wasting your time. You're not addressing anything that I've posted. The bible clearly points out that the source or origin of everything is referred to as "God". Logically, the origin of existence cannot exist. Paul points this out in 1 Corinthians 8:6. He distinguishes between God and Christ. He explicitly points out that God is the origin while Christ is the means of existence. Everything that exists comes into existence through Christ (John 1:3).
Again, note that John never says, "in the beginning was God" because ultimately the source or origin of existence cannot logically exist without creating an infinite regression. God is omnipotent which is omnia-potense. By definition, potential isn't manifest. QED.
The bible points out that God is "incomparable" which is essentially no different than transcendence. Would you agree, or do you equate God with your ideas, imaginations, etc.?
