I'm holding onto Him who won't let go of me!

He most certainly was there for Peter when he had become doubtful and afraid, most assuredly will he be there for anyone who has faith, in the Lord Jesus and continues to follow him. That doesn’t mean people can not get lost or forgetful, and start drowning again due the pressures of life. (Remember parable of the heart soils) always encourage and uplift others in Christ friend.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:27-28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I was saved by faith, but I continue to need faith to walk on the water!

Walking on water is a representative of overcoming the world by faith in Jesus, also @Truman.

This came to me after speaking with you,

Peter started doubting and afraid once he started walking on water with Jesus, (a representative of overcoming the world by faith), but the waters started taking him under. The pressure and winds of the world became to much, that switching his focus he started drowning. Though Jesus was there to reach and grab and pull Peter up out of the water, to help him find rest for his soul due to all the pressures of life.

Good scripture thank you sir.

“For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“be diligent to present thyself approved to God — a workman irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of the truth;”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭YLT98‬‬

“Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My encouragement to anyone who is an astute learner who desires to learn the word of God to learn what the Bible says, and that would be diving deep into the biblical truths that are through out its entirety.

My desire is not to divide against others if they believe certain things, but there is truth to be found on the Bible, and the scripture from what Paul suggest to Timothy in the written letter is to study.

Do not be ashamed, and believe this if you desire to learn and study your knowledge of God will increase.

““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Good encouragement, Matthew. Thank you.

If God can before us who can be against us? With Satan having been defeated the only enemy left is ourselves. It’s why the flesh wars with the spirit. No where in scripture does it say we war with Satan, we actually war with our own temptations and our own darkness within ourselves, principality of wickedness in high places or something like that. Never Satan, though many assume it is him. He has been crushed his head, sent away, never to trouble earth again.

Darkness never went away though @farouk, it’s been there since the creation.

Thank you for your comment.
@MatthewG Great ref. there to Romans 8, such a great chapter! :)

Division is one thing, Separation is another thing, Schism IS a division.
(but then, “being specific” is not your thing)...so whatever I say will likely not click with you.

Divide/Divided is mentioned 146 times in Scripture.
Division is mentioned 25 times in Scripture.
Separate is mentioned 79 times in Scripture.
Separation is mentioned 26 times in Scripture.
Schism is mentioned 1 time in Scripture.

Being Specific is not something you consider...but you should learn the difference between words that you “think” mean the same thing.

God “divided” the TWELVE TRIBES...who when divided were ALL “united” in Belief IN God....

And BTW, God precisely DIVIDED the day from the night..ie.light from darkness.

Well I am a very specific person which is why I am asking YOU what division you are talking about. Simply separating thigs, or causing splits between people. One is generic and norm,al, the other which is also called schisms is a division the bible condmens.

Something I need to make clear is that no one should follow, or believe me, but check everything against scripture that is said by me or anyone!

That is why the study is important you’ll find out the truth of matters shifting through all the opinion, and possible man made ideas, and the like.
You've made yourself clear and I'm very confident that I will never follow or believe you as concerning 2 Timothy 2:15

A child of God must be able to teach and also be taught at the same time. You've done neither. You haven't so much as inquired or studied what is the meaning of the word "approved?" And if you had you will find that the word "approved" has the same connotation as that of the word "accepted" found in Ephesians 1:6. Now the context of the verse 2 Timothy 2:15 has changed hasn't it?

And, this is how we ought to study Scripture if we are to find truth to see how else the meaning of a word in question is used elsewhere in the Bible.

The biggest thing to emphasize here is context, history, audience, scripture language, who is it written to, when was it written, why was it written? What are the issues being addressed in that day?

If we follow the trend you've suggested above, then pretty soon we will not have a Bible to read! Why? Because we have not lived in the Old Testament so the things written in the Old Testament are not for us today. Likewise with the apostles' epistles including the Four Gospels are not for us today! Do you follow my drift???

A lot of people may believe the Bible was written for them today however one must consider it was written for a people in an age that has passed on and away.

Read my last paragraph above! The whole Bible IS for us today!
