...temperance. I’m not seeing temperance in my life so I do have questions. Any help is appreciated. What I could find concerning temperance (self control). Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
2 Peter 1:4-8 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. [5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Interesting is mastery ...in temperance 1 Corinthians 9:25-27 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Every man that strives is temperate...has self control?
they do it to obtain a corruptible crown
but we an incorruptible.
What is self-control to obtain a corruptible crown?
How does this every man striving for mastery and is temperate ...Differ from self-control (temperance being a Fruit of the Spirit) “but we an incorruptible” that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
