It is a tricky question because you can't buy or sell without the mark. The location of the mark on the body reminds me of Deuteronomy 6:8, which is a metaphor for how the commandments should be acted and meditated upon. So it must be more than metaphorical if others can tell rather you have it or not.

Deuteronomy 8 "Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads."

So a physical mark is likely. But who would get a barcode tattoo?

I will keep an eye out on any future subdermal vaccination capsules. Which could be a surreptitious way to administer gene therapy. With a technological component to enforce their adoption by the populace. The gene therapy could introduce angelic DNA, making humans hybrids like the Nephilim who died but still roam the arid places as demons. And God does not forgive the demons and angels, same goes for those who receive the mark.

Any sort of AI integration with our bodies, to facilitate communication with it or through it to points of sale. No thank you.

It is a tricky question because you can't buy or sell without the mark.

But do you even understand what “buy and sell” actually refers to—if you truly grasp what the mark of the beast even is?

Because if you misunderstand the mark, you’re going to misunderstand what it means to buy and sell under its system. It’s not about money or wordly things to buy or sell with.

Think deeper. Let Scripture define it, not assumptions.

So a physical mark is likely.

No, not quite. God never said the mark would be literal—unless, of course, you’re also expecting a literal beast with two horns like a lamb to crawl up out of the Earth and start making speeches.

Let’s be real: Revelation is rich with symbolism. The beast, the horns, the heads—all symbolic. So why suddenly make the “mark” the only literal thing in the entire vision? That’s a selective reading at best.

It’s not about a tattoo or a microchip or anything like that. It is about doing the will of the beast (right hand), and having the same mind (forehead).

Let’s keep reading with discernment, according to God's Word - - not with Hollywood in mind.

But who would get a barcode tattoo?

Let’s think this through logically.

Do you honestly believe that if someone were to get a barcode tattoo, that alone would automatically damn them and cost them their salvation?

If that were the case, how is it any different from the millions of Christians today who already have tattoos—even on their right hand or forehead alone? Are they all condemned too? No, God was NOT talking about any form of physical mark here.

The mark of the beast can only be truly understood through spiritual discernment—not by taking Revelation at surface-level imagery.

Ask yourself: Who does the beast with two horns like a lamb spiritually represent? It looks like a lamb (Christ-like), but speaks like a dragon. This is the speaking of body of Satan full of false prophets and christ who are influencing the unfaithful congregation, pushing those within to receive his mark in order to “buy and sell” his version of truth when they cannot find salvation, even when they have the desire to die/seek death IN CHRIST to be saved. Please read Revelation 9 carefully.

Before jumping to theories, figure that out first—who the beast represents spiritually, and what his system demands from those who follow him.

Then the meaning of the mark will become clearer.

I will keep an eye out on any future subdermal vaccination capsules.

vaccination capsules?! A chip inserted under the skin that can determine whether you are saved or not, really??

Which could be a surreptitious way to administer gene therapy. With a technological component to enforce their adoption by the populace. The gene therapy could introduce angelic DNA, making humans hybrids like the Nephilim who died but still roam the arid places as demons. And God does not forgive the demons and angels, same goes for those who receive the mark.

Any sort of AI integration with our bodies, to facilitate communication with it or through it to points of sale. No thank you.

Really? Gene therapy, angelic DNA, Nephilim hybrids, AI? Come on.

Why are you chasing speculative theories with no foundation in Scripture? Instead of seeking God's interpretation from His Word, you’re pulling ideas from media hype, conspiracy channels, and science fiction.

Stop mixing sensationalism with prophecy. God's Word interprets itself—not through headlines, YouTube, or modern myth-making.

If you want truth, open your Bible, not your news feed.

Its simple really...

The scriptures clearly declared the kingdom was taken from them of God with the death of Christ (because of their rejection of Messiah the Prince). The 70 AD theorists imply it was taken by the Romans in 70 AD. The saints knew Jerusalem was left desolate when Christ died, which was long before 70 AD. The theorists think that the Romans did it, not understanding the true nature of the Kingdom, Covenant with Israel, nor their real desolation. Reading but not understanding the true import of the bondwoman being cast out with her children, and that was not in 70 AD.

Galatians 4:22-25
  • "For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
  • But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
  • Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
  • For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children."
That Jerusalem in bondage was the congregation of national Israel, who were left in bondage to Satan by rejecting the cornerstone, Christ. It seems the 70 AD theorists don't understand allegories, even though they say they do, they completely miss the mark in looking for carnal, or earthly fulfillments of things that are spiritually fulfilled. It wasn't talking about bondage or slavery, or captivity to the Romans, but to Satan for not knowing the time of their visitation.

Also, there is another of the many inconsistencies with the prophecy (Matthew 24:21) and the 70 AD theory where Preterism declares the great tribulation of saints took place in 70 AD. Not only that, but that it was such as was not since the beginning of this world to that time, nor ever would be--as "required" by the Matthew 24 prophecy. An astounding declaration that it itself should invalidate the 70 AD theory. Period! This is also why Partial Preterists (and whatever other name they give themselves , including so-called amillennialists) divide the same verse into two different eras "because" they know it is inconsistent otherwise, and so they attempt to separate what is obviously a narrative of those same days.

Matthew 24:29
  • "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"
Full Praeterists at least confess it's one era and at least admit this all happened long ago. By contrast, the Partial Preterist theorists and others calling themselves Futurists, Amillennialists, Postmillennialists, Premillennialists, and such, do all sorts of exegetical and hermeneutical gymnastics in a vain attempt to get around this clear passage. That "immediately" after the tribulation of those days the sun be darkened, when the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, they struggle to account for. This prophecy can be one of two things. The fall of the National Israel as the "representation" of the Kingdom of God on earth at the death of Christ, or the fall of the New Testament church as spiritually Babylon of Revelation 18. Neither of which took place in 70 AD!!!

"truth inspires change -WiseManSay" :gd

Okay so from your perspective those first century bride of Christ people were lied to.

Why even trust Jesus or the bible either way?

As an engineer who has worked with many of the top biotech companies on the planet on genetic engineering products, I can assure your that @lforrest understands what the Mark of the Beast is. We don't have to guess anymore.

There is only one thing that makes God angry enough to destroy all life on the planet. Don't mess with his copyright to life.

False accusation. But no surprise—truth often offends those who resist it.

You quote Scripture about "hating your brother," but do you even understand what that means in context? Hint: it’s not disagreement, correction, or boldly speaking truth. In fact, what you’re calling “hate” is actually love—because real love tells the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable (Ephesians 4:15).

What’s really happening here is that you’re offended by the truth I testified to—truth you refuse to receive because you lack the love of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10). So instead of examining your heart, you throw out lazy accusations of “hate.”

Classic deflection.

If calling out deception and urging people to seek God’s wisdom makes me guilty of “hate,” then I suppose Jesus and the apostles were haters too.

Just saying… hlo
Seasoning your words with grace?

You don't believe that either.
Not deflection....just OBVIOUS statements of exhibited behavior.

And since you do not seem to be able to do as John says....I don't believe you have any truth within you.

When you don't filter EVERY word or action through the two greatest Commandments you are a whole life failure.

But there's hope for those who repent.

Mr. Beast could be the beast of Revelations....those signs are not hidden. They are blatant and obvious to everyone. No different from the time Jesus was here on Earth. Those signs were blatant and obvious too. The whole world knew those signs.

Antichrist, the Beast, the stamp, all these people/things are going to be LIKED by Christiandom. Otherwise they wouldn't be mentioned whatsoever. Just saying.

Hour of temptation means just that. Immortality will be too difficult for some to resist.

I am the 666
This statement contradicts your claim to be of Christian faith. In Christianity it is associated with the anti-christ. 666 is the number of the beast. It is not the mark that people will take. It is an antichrist system created by man that will control buying and selling of goods and services.
So what do you mean when you say you are 666.

LOL. Another classic deflection here. I stand by my testimony that you do not like to hear. Simple as that.

Mr. Beast could be the beast of Revelations....those signs are not hidden.

There’s nothing in Scripture that points to "Mr. Beast" as the Beast in Revelation. The Bible gives us specific descriptions in Revelation 13 and other prophetic books that help us understand who the Beast really is. It’s essential that we interpret God's Word carefully and not borrow names from popular YouTube culture. As believers, we’re called to rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) and test everything by Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Selah!

They are blatant and obvious to everyone. No different from the time Jesus was here on Earth. Those signs were blatant and obvious too. The whole world knew those signs.

What are you babbling about? You do not make any sense without a Scripture reference.

Antichrist, the Beast, the stamp, all these people/things are going to be LIKED by Christiandom. Otherwise they wouldn't be mentioned whatsoever. Just saying.

It seems you may be misunderstanding what Revelation 13 is really describing. The Beast is not someone or something Christians will celebrate or admire. In fact, those who follow the Beast will be deceived because they do not love the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10–11). The Beast represents people under the influence of Satan—those who reject God and unknowingly carry the spirit of Antichrist (1 John 4:3). This is why it's crucial to study Scripture carefully and let God’s Word interpret itself, not rely on personal theories or popular figures.

Just saying...Selah!

First, they claim the ten horns are ten nations from a revived empire. Then, they say the ten horns are human political leaders. Now, they’re calling them fallen angelic beings tied to AI and genetic engineering. This constant shifting shows they’re not grounded in sound doctrine. Instead of comparing Scripture with Scripture, they chase sensational theories. Have they even considered what the number 10 symbolizes in the Bible? Or what do horns represent throughout prophetic texts? Rather than seeking truth from God’s Word, they rely on speculation driven by the flesh. That’s not discernment—that’s confusion.

While revelation is filled with things needing spiritual discernment, this verse about buying and selling is not one of them. The devil would gladly coerce people into taking the mark.

If you believe stories of witnesses to black ops to retrieve the bodies of giants and other strange creatures, that would mean the governments who retrieved them have their DNA already. Understanding that data and using it to modify humans is the next step. Then they will need a delivery mechanism.

Oh, but it absolutely does require spiritual discernment!

Unless you’re expecting a literal beast with horns to rise out of the Earth and set up a talking statue, you should already know that much of Revelation is symbolic. The "buying and selling" tied to the mark of the beast isn't about shopping at Walmart—it points to something far deeper, spiritually. Ignoring that only leads to shallow interpretations.

The devil would gladly coerce people into taking the mark.

Rev 13:15-17
(15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
(16) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
(17) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Do you truly understand what these verses are saying?

Think carefully: how will the beast cause nearly everyone in the church—except the Elect—to receive his mark?
With what? Guns? Prisons? Deportations? No—God is not talking about a political or military operation. He is talking about HIS UNFAITHFUL CHURCH, "WHERE" the false prophets and christs are! This is why God's faithful witnesses are being killed (silenced) for not worship the image of the beast.

Do you even know what the image of the beast represents? And what does it mean that the image can “speak” and cause those who refuse to worship it to be “killed”? Thinking God is talking about a talking statue?

This isn’t about physical death—it’s about spiritual deception, false worship, and the silencing of truth. These are the false doctrines the professed Christians wanted to buy and sell from the mouths of the false prophets and christs! If you fail to interpret this spiritually, you’ll completely miss the real warning, just like so many today who, with carnal minds, chase interpretations based on world news, YouTube theories, and media hype instead of seeking truth from Scripture itself.

but in a time when Jesus was coming quickly he forgot all about his bride

There’s no such thing as a "first-century bride of Christ," a "15th-century bride of Christ," or a "21st-century bride of Christ." The Bride is one — not divided by time periods. You are completely deceived by the 70 AD theory. Truly.

Sure there was, otherwise Jesus must never existed, nor did his apostles. Or they are just liars and manipulators.

That's how far I extend that in faith Yeshua came to that bride whom was to be spotless perfect and unwrinkled.

That's a powerful conviction. Your words reflect a deep-rooted faith in the story and promise of Yeshua, and the idea of the bride as a pure and prepared people carries strong biblical symbolism—especially seen in passages like Ephesians 5:27 and Revelation 19:7–8. For many, this image speaks to a spiritual relationship marked by holiness, love, and readiness for divine communion.

"My reply was that I believe that an Elon Musk figure will be the Beast of Revelation, Bitcoin will be the currency, and the mark will be the credit card..."

... and all the world wondered after the beast. - Revelation 13:3

An Elon Musk type figure... Not necessarily Elon Musk. It will be a figure to cause the world to wonder after. As far as the promotion of Bitcoin... Elon Musk calls the U.S. dollar ‘hopeless,’ says his America Party will embrace Bitcoin - Elon Musk calls the U.S. dollar 'hopeless,' says his America Party will embrace Bitcoin
