Hi there!
So two facts and a conclusion. Fact one: just as we do not know what Heaven will be like, before we get there; so also, the baby's experience of life is so intense, we can't even really imagine what it is like for them. It is an experience that sets them up for life, after all (not just birth).
Fact two: in order of importance, the experience of the baby being stronger than that of the parents, though they may enjoy that experience vicariously, the parents are the easiest way to preserve the gene pool by - if you kill them. The experience of the parents - even combined - is not greater than the experience of the baby: so they should be killed first.
Conclusion: abortion is a threat to the sanctity of life, because it threatens the proper order of the importance of life - parents asserting authority of the experience of life over life itself.
God does not give this importance, to the parents; He does give the responsibility. Now, you can argue that there are extenuating circumstances "my experience would be affected this way" or "that way", that doesn't change that the baby's is greater. You would basically be expecting the baby to give up the importance of the experience, for something that could never repay the difference.
What I don't want to say is "Because God makes parents responsible, He doesn't care about the family" - if your family can't handle a baby and you've even had one, you have every right to appeal to abortion in order to have the baby taken care of by someone else: it's a two way street. The baby is not just important to you, in principle the baby is important to everyone - you are not to be singled out! I'm not even going to entertain the possibility that no one would want to receive the child - God does! As God is my witness, if I could have every baby in danger of being aborted, I would!
Sit down, ask yourself how did abortion become a right, for the Devil and decide to side with God, about being pro-life!
I hope this has been affirming, for you.
God bless.
