@Big Boy Johnson It’s not you but this whole discouragement that greets others coming to this board…that makes me want to leave here. To be honest lately I find more comfort and encouragement on atheist sites. At least from the atheist sites there are real questions and an attitude of bafflement of asking the whys and how can it be Christians boast all these things and do all the opposite of what their mouths claim to stand for. I get from your post that you have gone through some real difficulties of addiction. For the life of me though…I can’t understand how those things have not brought you to a place of a little more understanding of how tough this walk is and how others are genuinely asking legitimate questions.

1 Corinthians 1:27-31 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; [28] And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: [29] That no flesh should glory in his presence. [30] But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: [31] That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

That is the verse of the day on my bible app: of Him you are in Christ. To me that does NOT say of Big Boy Johnson you are in Christ. When it says God takes those things despised …I can’t think of any more despised by religion than homosexuals and the OP. Saying they can’t receive or be given any mercy. All the comparisons between your average sins and the ones we consider atrociously hideously far worse than your average sinners. It is men who create these categories. To place themselves in the less offensive category. I think a great point was brought up which so far as been totally ignored…if those in the Bible that Christ reached out to help —the worst of the worst—ever came to those surrounding Jesus Christ …they would be told “don’t stand near me. I’m more holier than you.”

If Paul ever showed up at church and said I murdered …for real I killed a man called saint Stephen…would he get the boot in the face? You betcha he would. We are in denial if you think no. I get this may be viewed as complaining but the OP has every right to ask or voice concern for the treatment of the church towards “babes” in Christ. Is it complaining as suggested or is it a legitimate question? To me I think of the Proverb where it says “…wisdom cries without, she utters her voice in the streets…” she stretches out her hand and it’s rejected. Who is doing the rejection? Where one comes in with nice clothes and you say “sit here in the good seats” and to another in filthy clothing that is less admirable “be our footstool!”

there is no need to respond. They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different response. I don’t expect a different response here. I’m only venting to tell you how I feel which is …I can see and understand why atheist voice that religion produces some of the most unmerciful judgmental people in the world.

Christians boast all these things and do all the opposite of what their mouths claim to stand for.

True Christians will always seek to follow the Word of God and remain true to their own word.

The quickest way to identify a fake "christian" is when they reject God's Word and have no interest in being a student of His Word to learn and grown in their relationship with Him.

One must be aware also that the devil is the author of discouraging thoughts and those thoughts must be cast down and replaced with what the Lord says about us in the New Testament. In Mark 4:13-20 we see Jesus giving us the 5 things the devil uses to choke the Word out of us - persecution, affliction, cares of this world, lusts of other things, and deceitfulness of riches

So yes the enemy uses people to try to choke God's Word out of us but we need to be careful to not pay so much attention to others, especially when they are speaking things that don't agree with God's Word.

In the end... WE are responsible to stand with the Lord... otherwise we will fall away and end up lost.

I can’t understand how those things have not brought you to a place of a little more understanding of how tough this walk is and how others are genuinely asking legitimate questions.

Because I learned to focus on what God's Word says and reject ALL opposition to His Word... this is what one must do in order to not be deceived.

To those not realizing this, they may think some of the things I say are harsh, but the reality we live in on Club Earth is the enemy has pulled out all the stops to deceive people and they are falling like flies now away from the Lord as the great falling away is in full swing.

It's like this... let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4), unless the man is saying what God says in His Word.

I can’t think of any more despised by religion than homosexuals and the OP. Saying they can’t receive or be given any mercy

God's Word very clearly teaches that homosexuality is an abomination unto Him... as long as one is walking in that or if one is even in agreement supporting it (not being homosexual themselves)... there is no mercy for them as they are walking in darkness and in opposition to the Lord. Only when one turns away from their sin... does mercy become enviable.

When one turns away from the Lord and sins, they must forsake their sin and confess their sin to the Lord in order to be in right standing with the Lord once again according to His Word.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

God created man to be with woman within marriage. That's how HE decided sexual relations would work. Any thought different from this is in opposition to the Lord and His ways of being and doing right.

Some do not believe this and will experience God's rejection someday when they die and will not be spending eternity with the Lord. Christians don't want to see people be lost like that so they try to help others understand God does not accept any form of sexual perversion. There is no darkness in God so He cannot accept it.

If Paul ever showed up at church and said I murdered …for real I killed a man called saint Stephen…

2 Corinthians 7:2
Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

Paul REPENTED of his sins and quit living in sin... that is the difference between the evil he had done and today where you have homosexuals wanting to continue in their homosexuality demanding Christians accept them... true Christians cannot agree with or provide any support to those living in sin.

I can see and understand why atheist voice that religion produces some of the most unmerciful judgmental people in the world.

That is because... they love their sin and want to continue living in their sin and they seek for others to tell them they nare OK in their sin... sadly, all of these folks are on the highway to hell.

God's grace is for others to come forth and tell them the Truth which is... they must turn from their sin unto the Lord before they can be saved and have mercy from the Lord.

Agree.

For what it’s worth I see Paul speaking to the Corinthians and he is telling them …even though we may appear unto you as reprobates …He urges them to be made perfect. To me Paul turns their boasting around back in them urging …in my opinion… if you all call me a reprobate and as one who fails in the Grace and Mercy of God then you instructors “be perfect as your Father is perfect” …to me Paul is manifesting their lack of love for those they say are reprobates which to me goes against the Nature of God who instructed “love your enemies”. To me Paul is urging them “if I am who is your enemy” then show your love for your enemy. But what I think he was trying to show them was they were powerless. That is the point I see in Paul speaking to the Corinthians accusations. That then the one with the more responsibility is the accusers of the brethren then to love their brothers whom they accuse. And how it wasn’t yet in them who were shouting at Paul “you show us the power. PROVE to us you are no reprobate!” …Paul says “no. I’ll be weak. I’ll be a reprobate.” …”now you show this Great love of Christ you seem to be teachers of.” That is my opinion… I strongly believe empty words are powerless.

Well, no matter how we slice it... there will not be any homosexuals in Heaven, or any others that lived in sin refusing to repent of their sin and not walking in righteousness.

Some don't believe this having not accepted the whole counsel of God, and so they will learn the hard way once they die that they were in error concerning their sin.

Afraid that is going to turn around and bite us in the rear. Homosexuality can also be loving to get our neighbors…including our brother slap naked(get him drunk first) and then look on their nakedness for our own lust and excitement. Maybe that is why religion hates homosexuals so much….we see ourselves declared in it. So that says included in heaven with no homosexuals then also no members that like to get others drunk and naked to look on their shame for their own pleasure will be there either.

I’ll put it this way … “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil”
I’m not so worried about the temptation to be convinced to enter into a life of homosexuality. For me…the greatest temptation is to condemn and turn around and do the same thing I condemn others for. The greatest temptation and evil for me is … to hate those who hate me. To despise those who despise me. To reject those who reject me. If someone curses and spits on me the greatest Temptation for me is to return evil for evil. That is my biggest temptation when asking God to deliver me from evil.

None the less... God's Word teaches that homosexuality is a sin and those embracing it will be lost.

It's not a matter of what we think either way, it's a matter of what God says about it in His Word.

He has THE final say...

You still won’t even consider a perspective (right or wrong) that what homosexuality is in the physical sense. There is also the same in the spiritual of even in “why do you debate amongst yourselves?” “Brothers against brothers” working that which is unseemly among themselves. If God was ever to reveal to you that you do the same as homosexuals and are no better …same as if one hates his brother in his heart, then he is already a murderer. I wonder how it would change your perspective? Do you say …I don’t need to be concerned with that because it is not possible?

That is all fine and good but that applies to all and everyone living in sin within the churches. There should be no more debate over if every member within churches is now perfect and sinless. If they are not….then they are in violation of what you said above is the requirement. “True Christian’s cannot agree with or provide any support to those living in sin.” But we set up our food banks to help the needy and young women living in sin. Because hey …that looks generous. It does an image good!

I don't need to... God has said clearly in His Word that it's a sin.

That's all I need to know... He rejects it, I'm His Child so I reject it too.

Not accepting sinful behavior is NOT hating anyone... it's the devil's attempt to gaslight Christians to claim it is.

I’m trying to warn you that by your own acknowledgment of how atrocious homosexuality is, that if you ever considered you are guilty of the same …then your agreement in how atrocious it is ..is your agreement against yourself. Exactly Who are you cursing? Do you think I’m trying to say I support homosexuality? I bet you do. Just like it may be assumed I’m supporting looking at kiddie porn. Which I am not. I could be wrong but I think the OP doesn’t assume I am supporting looking at kiddie porn. What I am saying is I have no right to say God can’t change their heart…because I do believe God changed mine away from things I did just as severe. I have no right to judge their heart after all that my own heart has entertained.

Jesus didn’t support murder by saying if you’ve hated your brother in your heart, then you are guilty of murder yourself. He was bringing down vain imaginations. If you ever considered you may be guilty of the same homosexuality in your heart, which puts you the same the (physical) homosexual you speak against…what then? I’m not suggesting you would support it but realize you are guilty of the same and in need of mercy the same as those you think are so far worse and beyond help. Does that make sense. How can we remain in our high mindedness when we are leveled with the fact that …as atrocious as we see others sins …that is how we are without Christ. I’m talking about having a little Thanksgiving. The last part of that is …giving. A little giving of what we have been given. I don’t know how else to put it. I still feel the same way…how do we neglect all the word and cherry pick what we choose. “If you don’t forgive, you will not be forgiven.”

I'm not guilty of homosexuality... maybe you are?

I'm not cursing anyone... God is the One Who proclaimed homosexuality to be a sin and that He does not accept it.

What I am saying is I have no right to say God can’t change their heart

They must first understand that homosexuality is a sin and turn away from it.... then, their heart can be changed.

As long as they view homosexuality favorably as being OK, they are still lost as this is sinful behavior.
(this includes all of the other things the Lord calls sin in His Word as well, not just homosexuality)

If you ever considered you may be guilty of the same homosexuality in your heart,

You continue to attempt to project this upon others, why?

Are you having homosexuality tendencies or something? clueless-scratching.gif

How can we remain in our high mindedness

Accepting what God says in His Word... is not being high minded.

GOD NOR CHRIST , CHRIST NOR GOD , NOR THE SPIRIT
will ever be A MINSTIR OF SIN .
thus if our jesus supports sin , WELL THEN KNOW and understand why I DIDNT capitlize that jesus , cause IT THE DEVIL IN WOOL
using the name of jesus to preach another love , another go spell , one that identifies WITH SIN and NOT WITH JESUS CHRIST .
MANY GONNA WAIL on the DAY OF JESUS CHRIST , cause their jesus and its love REJECTED HIM and thus COULD NOT SAVE THEM .

Ok. I give. I surrender. Homosexuality has never crossed my mind. I have plenty of other issues though. I HAVE considered though how much I’ve found pleasure in exposing someone’s short comings so I can point at them and mock and laugh at their nakedness. I think that counts as men with men and women with women working that which is unseemly to do. I’ve also been told all kinds of things to get me naked too.for example: You need to drink milk …the meat is for us who are seasoned with Grace and Mercy and Truth. When I go back and read that passage where Paul speaks of their still needing milk and not ready for the meat …I don’t see a condemnation but Paul’s greatest hearts desire is not to prevent them but that they grow up and are able to handle the meat. But that isn’t how the scripture is often used but instead to expose someone’s lack …to build up those eaters of the meat. That is what I mean by loving to get others naked to look on their shame. To expose them as less than. There is some sick twisted pleasure in doing that. a lust to get others naked…to have relations men with other men and women with other women? You don’t see it?

I’ve been going back to look at those passages concerning going against that which is nature. I wonder how God corrects sin within the church? I mean if one is a literal murderer outside of the body …is that God’s First focus of correction or is the first beam removed before the splinter: the hating of your own brothers (spiritual murder) within the body. Does He remove the beam first or the splinter? Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

So for me sins outside of the body isn’t the first splinter to build a crusade to go preach against. But instead the beam must go first: “they did change the natural use into that which is against nature” Philippians 2:19-20 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. [20] For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
*Be you transformed by the renewing of your mind.

1 Timothy 5:20
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
So is it okay to bring attention to “they did exchange the natural use for that which is against nature” could have something to do with “I have no man likeminded to send to you that will naturally care for your state” except Timothy?

Hey, don't get upset at me... I didn't write the Bible!

YES... sinful behavior when found out should be corrected for for all so that others know it's wrong to sin so they can "admit it and quit it"

The devil is the one who wants everyone to go easy on sin since it's a trick of his to deceive people and cause them to go to hell.

You wouldn't want to see anybody go to hell... would ya? disagree.gif
