2 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Seven messengers addressed in seven churches, each with it's unique content, why? Why would Jesus speak so differently to them, and what does that mean to us today?
So many people answer this question in so many ways. So many questions about this vision that people answer so differently, no wonder so many people are afraid of it.
Here's something I think of.
In 1 John, the Apostle writes,
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one.
I suggest that the little children who read the next part, read it with this in mind: Your sins are forgiven you for His Name's sake.
I suggest the fathers read it keeping in mind that they have known Him that is from the beginning. And the young men should read keeping in mind that they have overcome the wicked.
13b I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
Fathers should read was he just wrote remembering these things, as so forth.
Here, remember as I speak to you, as I tell you these things, that it's Me that is holding you in My hand, and I walk in your midst.
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Your works, and your toil, and your endurance . . .
You can't stand the false! You test them, and reject them, and this is good! You endure, and you carry on, For My Name's sake you labor and toil and haven't faltered . . . but.
It's not love.
I'm holding onto you, but you are not holding onto Me.
Martha!
