Ephesians 1:13-14
13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

"until the redemption of the purchased possession."

We are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. He is the earnest of our inheritance. These condition will remain UNTIL the redemption of the purchased possession.

You are not your own, you were bought with a price.

You cannot "undo" God's ownship of you!

No one can.

Much love!

It is my view that the word "earnest" in verse 14 does not convey the same message content as the word "source/pledge" would.

"He is the 'source' of our inheritance."
