Yes, because original tongue speakers knew exactly what they were saying.
That is not evidence. That is supposition.

You are without a shred of proof backing your claims.
Sounds as though you have no defense in your claims.Mixed metaphors are my evidence. Try writing it in plain English.
Speak in tongues and record it. Take it around to several sects for interpretation. You will get that many different interpretations.
Paul says so. That's good enough for me and anyone who values God's word. That is not evidence. That is supposition.
It will be if you put it to the test. That is not proof they have expired.
Where?Paul says so. That's good enough for me and anyone who values God's word.
Been there and done that and there is no doubt that tongues are alive and well.It will be if you put it to the test.
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.” (1 Corinthians 14:4) Why? because knowing what is said edifies.Where?
Not from what I hear.Been there and done that and there is no doubt that tongues are alive and well.
“And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,” (Acts 8:18)
“For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established;” (Romans 1:11)
It says they came through an apostle's hands beyond the two outpourings. Those scriptures do not say tongues will pass away.
Not from what I hear.
No they don't. That is a figment of your imagination. It says they came through an apostle's hands beyond the two outpourings.
I have scripture saying so. You have nothing but prejudice. No they don't. That is a figment of your imagination.
I've been around too many Pentecostals to believe anything they say about the gifts. Scripture nailed it for me.And what you hear is evidence even though thousands of others hear differently.
You obviously don't know how to produce evidence.
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.” (1 Corinthians 14:4) Why? because knowing what is said edifies.
I'm saying the gifts today are phony based in part on that verse.Nothing in that verse that says tongues are being done away with. You really are clutching at straws to prove the unprovable.
