so you say, but if you Quote them we could see that the premise is flawed, yes, men suggest asking God for forgiveness even in Scripture, but you will not find it acknowledged by God or Christ anywhere, bc we are supposed to confess our sins, not ask for forgiveness. If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us, right? But we seek the forgiveness of men!Ha, not a single hit...but there are the other scriptures that say the same thing in different words.
ah well, i sure hope i am not ignoring your valid points here, not addressing them or just pretending they arent even there if they conflict with a point i hope to make? We are having an actual conversation, arent we? I might even be shown to be wrong, up there? I am left open, have allowed for the possibility that i might be wrong up there?Ha, not a single hit...but there are the other scriptures that say the same thing in different words.
I got only 5 hits on "leave some for Elijah"...not splainin allot, lol. Except for Elijah being invited for the Seder meal, and "the cup of Elijah"...
Fodder for the cannon, ha...aren't we all?
as to "leave some for Elijah," many Jews are Zionists, just like many/most Christians, and they seek a literal fulfillment, and dont recognize that Elijah already came back, like we do--nor the implications of that, for Christians, but nevermind that for now, we're light-years away from that i guess--So anyway they are waiting for Elijah just like most Christians are waiting for Jesus.
So "leave some for Elijah" is either a Zionist acknowledgement of a literal kingdom coming, with a literal descendant of David wearing a literal crown, in a literal Jerusalem, or a bad attempt at a little joke, like i meant it :)
