John ALSO admitted that he had sin in his life (1 John 1:8) and said that if we say we have NO sin - we deceive ourselves and the truth is NOT in us.
1 John 1:8 in no way declares that we are bound to commit sin in the present or the future. It is speaking about the fact of indwelling sin...which can be rendered dead (Galatians 5:24, Romans 6:6, Romans 7:8) so that it has not say or authority over our behaviour or what we do.

1 John 3:5-9 therefore does not contradict the true meaning of 1 John 1:8.

1 John 1:8 does not contradict 1 John 3:5-9 because it is not saying that we are bound to sin (the inevitability of sin).

You should really consider the following scriptures:

1Th 5:23, And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:24, Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

1Jo 3:9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
.
.
.
1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jo 3:3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1Jo 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
.
.
.
Jde 1:24, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

2Pe 1:10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

1Jo 2:10, He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
Once again - EVERY ONE of these verses is a word of encouragement - NOT a guarantee.
"I pray that you are found blameless . . ."
"Him that is ABLE to keep you from falling . . ."

As for "having made perfect those whom He has sanctified" - we are still in the PROCESS of BEING sanctified. Only those in Heaven are fully sanctified.
YOU are adding to Scripture what is NOT there.

WRONG.

When we cone to Christ in Baptism - we are made CLEAN from sin (Acts 2:38). Anything that happens afterward is on US.
We have a way out through repentance in Christ - but we have SIN in our life because of our OWN fault.

THIS
is what John and Paul were as talking about.

How about 2 Peter 1:10...if ye do these things, ye shall never fall...
Read it in CONTEXT instead of cherry-picking . . .

2 Pet. 1:5-10
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; For IF you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For IF you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For IF you do these things, you will never stumble.

Word of encouragement that are CONDITIONAL.
A whole lotta "IF's" . . .

Nevertheless it says that if ye do these things, ye shall never fall...

that shall, is an absolute statement. Never also.

And consider also what 1 John 2:10 says, that if you love your brothers and sisters in Christ, there is none occasion of stumbling in you...

In the kjv:

No additions or subtractions made.

As for whether sanctification is yet future, there is the context:

Heb 10:10, By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Most churches today teach false doctrines for several reasons:
ignorance, unbelief, for popularity, for financial benefit, etc.
Only a few churches are teaching correct doctrine these days.
There is more to correct doctrine than “Jesus is Lord and Savior”.
Many Spirit-filled Christians are warning, “The church is fast asleep!”

Grace-only, cheap-grace, hyper-grace, easy-believism …
are all called antinomianism! This is the notion that a one-time
justification saves … apart from sanctification. But, this is an
incomplete understanding of God’s wonderful free gift of grace!

The problem with easy-believism is that it allows
those who are living in hypocrisy, disobedience, and sin
(i.e. those who are NOT walking in obedience)
to live comfortably with a false assurance of salvation!
This leads to the tragedy described in Matthew 7:21-23 (for example).

“… some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches,
saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives.
… they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Jude 4-5, NLT)

NOTE: We are talking here about believers who have received the Holy Spirit.

Saving faith include water baptism to be saved.

The entire easy believe-ism movement started to omit water baptism, while debunking Mark 16:16.

There are at least 10 NT verses for each of the following truths …

Believers prove they have true saving faith:
1 -- by their obedience
2 -- by practicing righteousness
3 -- by living holy lives
4 -- by having a healthy fear of God
5 -- by repenting of their occasional sins
6 –- by overcoming sin, the world, Satan, persecution
7 -- by enduring in the faith to the end of their lives

Re: #4 … If people are believing and trusting in grace-only, cheap-grace,
hyper-grace, easy-believism, etc., HOW can they be fearing God?

So, all of these verses PROVE the road to eternal life is indeed narrow,
and believers are responsible for playing their part in their salvation!
Or, shall we view these verses as merely bluffs, exaggerations, lies even?

Initially, through His grace, God gives to new believers:
Jesus’ righteousness, redemption, reconciliation, etc. and salvation.
However, this grace/salvation is NOT guaranteed to last forever!
Because ONLY their old-past-former sins have been forgiven (2 Peter 1:9).
And because NT verses warn about the possibility of losing salvation.

Some believers became “estranged from Christ”
… they had “fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4).

Some believers are “of those who draw back to perdition” (Hebrews 10:39).

And there are many more warning verses.

Within every cherry there is a seed that is capable of producing an entire tree.
Cherry-picking Scripture instead of reading it in its proper context is precisely why you are so confused.

Don’t just quote Scripture - LEARN what it means . . .

That's great - but Scripture would respond to you with the following . . .

1 John 1:8

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Good luck with that . . .

Heb 10:10, By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
We are absolutely sanctified by His once-for-all sacrifice.
And EVERY reputable Protestant scholar would tell you that sanctification is a LIFELONG process (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb 12:14).

Context is never the friend of a Scriptural cherry-picker like yourself.
As I told you before – don’t just QUOTE Scripture – LEARN what it means.

Uh huh - "IF" you ALWAYS do these things.
YOU stumble like everybody else.

1 John 1:8
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

I would say that the doctrine of the inevitability of sin
is a false doctrine and heresy. We do not have to sin...Romans 8:12-13.
Yes, there are several NT verses which are supposed to teach us that ...
BACs have been set FREE from the bondage to sin.
BACs no longer HAVE to sin.
BACs are no longer slaves of sin (but they can choose to continue to sin).
etc. etc.
I don't wish to bore anyone.

... why don't you present the Gospel as you understand it
(assuming that we are all hearing it for the first time and don't have a clue)?
I'll humor you just with this ...

Believers are INITIALLY saved by God's wonderful free gift of grace
and their PAST-PREVIOUS-OLD sins (2 Peter 1:9) are forgiven ...
butski they have NO guarantee that this grace will last forever!

Believers are called to co-operate with God's Plan of Salvation,
or they will forfeit their salvation!
Yes, Martha, free will is involved.
How to participate in said co-operate is listed in the OP.

The entire easy believism movement was started
to omit water baptism for the remission of sins to be saved.(Acts 2:38)
It also included omitting believing and water baptism to be saved(Mark 16:16).
It's incredibly incredible, but I can almost make the case that
the baptism talked about in Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:16
actually refers to the baptism with the Holy Spirit
with the initial confirmation of speaking in tongues!

For all of these believers (at the very beginning: Acts 2)) did experience da blue!
And the early church was absolutely filled with believers who experienced da blue!
How and why the church moved away from this should be obvious,
but perhaps it's only through spiritual revelation (I'm not sure).

I do not know of anyone who is trying to avoid sin through the avenue of Grace. The notion promoted by theologians that believers are looking for an easy way out is nothing more than the works-based theology that you hear preached in most evangelical churches every Sunday with people responding to altar calls for the same sins over and over again.
