Heb 2:17 Reconciliation for the sins of the People ! 2

More scripture that collaborates and are indicative of Christ's death not being for all mens sins in general, but specifically for the People as was pointed out before in Heb 2:17

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Again the greek stating :

ὅθεν ὤφειλεν κατὰ πάντα τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς ὁμοιωθῆναι, ἵνα ἐλεήμων γένηται καὶ πιστὸς ἀρχιερεὺς τὰ πρὸς τὸν θεόν, εἰς τὸ ἱλάσκεσθαι τὰς ἁμαρτίας τοῦ λαοῦ:

Tas amartias, the specific sins of a specific people !

Now thats collaborated here also Heb 7:27

27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's[sins]: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

The High Priest here, a type of Christ who is our High Priest Heb 4:14-15, only made an Offering for the sins of the People He represented as pointed out in Heb 2:17.

Again 1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Our sins here does not mean all mankind individually without exception, but specifically those believers, the elect of God 1 Pet 1:1-2

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

1 Pet 2:9

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

He is said to have died for the sins of an peculiar people , a chosen generation !

The word chosen here is the same greek word eklektos as in 1 Pet 1:1-2 !

Christ's death in scripture is comparative to that of an High Priest to an specific people, and such is never general and or indefinite, but particular and definite as was the Type in the High Priest of Israel, God's Chosen People. He would only have the sins of the People of Israel on his heart before the mercy seat.

Lev 16:16,21,34

And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the

And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Now if Christ's atoning death was anything but definite and particular for an elected people as typified by the High Priest of Israel the OT Type, then the Gospel looses its typical ramifications as Christ's death being according to scripture for our sin 1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

The OT scriptures in its typical significance was always for the sins of an specific people, not all the world in general, so hence a general death of Christ for the sins of all men without exception, such is not according to scripture, and therefore should be noted as a false Gospel. Remember what Paul said here Gal 1:8-9

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Christian baptism is complete ritual that accomplishes what it signifies
Washing away of sin

new creation
Regeneration
Initiation into the new covenant
Member of Christ and his church
infused with sanctifying grace
2 cor 4........would then mean that are cleansing is temporary.....

Whose right...you? Or the word of God....

Yep, the word of God interpreted correctly...

18 “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

No one even knows if what you are saying is correct....The Gospel is in Mark the First Chapter :
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

How many have taught something other than this? MANY ...and you are going to say they are accursed for a lack of knowledge...

Let God be the Judge plz....

Did not die for the seed of the serpent !

Another reason why Christ did not die for all mankind without exception is because of the Law of Redemption, for one had to be what is called a kinsmen redeemer in order for redemption one had to be a near kinsmen, this is also typed in the OT scriptures, See book of Ruth ! That's why Christ, when coming to perform His work of propitiation as in 1 Jn 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

He was sent to Identify with only one specific people, the Seed of Abraham, He Himself being of the Seed of Abraham, and a near kinsmen. Heb 2:16-17

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation or propitiation for the sins of the people.

So 1 Jn 4:10 and Heb 2:17 here are the same identical people, the seed of Abraham, who were Christ's brethren !

Now for Christ to come and die for all mankind to redeem them, He would have to had been a near kinsmen to the seed of the serpent as well. He would have to love them as well; However that seed of the serpent had not any relationship to that seed of which Christ sprung from, the Seed of the Women Gen 3:14-15

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.547

You see that's Two different seeds or families being represented. Christ was not a near kinsmen to the serpents family, but He was with the Seed of the Women, and the Seed of the women [Eve] is also Adam's Seed, so Adam and Eves seed was different from the serpents seed.

So they are Two different seeds and to top that off God sovereignly put enmity/hate between the Two Seeds.

So that's why its stated that Christ took on the Seed of Abraham and not mankind in general, because some men as sinners belong to the serpents seed !

He came to save a specific people !

He came to save a specific people, not all mankind without exception. He came to save a Chosen People, and this is clearly true in the fact that He came through the People of Israel, the Seed of Abraham through the flesh Heb 2:16. For He was promised to come through the Seed of Abraham, whom Eve and Adam represented here Gen 3:15

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The woman here is Eve who he had deceived, and her seed was hers through her union with Adam, So Adam's Seed is here spoken of as the woman's seed Eve.

Christ according to the flesh came through Adam's Seed Lk 3:23-38.

He came specifically to save or give aid to the Seed of Abraham Heb 2:16573

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

16 For, as we all know, He [Christ] did not take hold of angels [the fallen angels, to give them a helping and delivering hand], but He did take hold of [the fallen] descendants of Abraham [to reach out to them a helping and delivering hand].

Now is all mankind the Seed of Abraham or even the fallen descendants of Abraham ? The Answer is NO !

He came to save a specific people , The Seed !

Isa 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

His soul was made an offering for sin for the seed He shall see !

A Seed/generation shall serve Him Ps 22:30

30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

1 Pet 2:9

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

That Christ came only to save a Chosen People, His Seed or Generation, is seen in the fact that He came through the People of Israel according to the flesh Rom 9:5

5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

As He was promised to come through Eve Gen 3:15

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman[Eve], and between thy seed and her[Eve] seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

And Eve at this time was the Mother of all the Living, Adam said Gen 3:20
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

And God is the God of the Living, not the dead Matt 22:32

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Eve is the Mother of all the Living Elect !

Now, That Christ was the Seed of the Woman Eve is seen here Rev 12:5

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Thats Christ, the Promised Seed of the Woman Eve Gen 3:15

So if Christ is according to the flesh the Seed of Abraham Heb 2:16

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Then Eve in the beginning was the beginning of the Seed of Abraham, She was the Mother of all Living, which is the Elect Line of Abraham's Seed Matt 22:32

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

He came to die and save only that Seed of Abraham, and all whom belong to Him are the Seed of Abraham Gal 3:29

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The cursed Christ did not die for !

Matt 25:41

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Depart from me ye cursed. There is only one thing in scripture, God's book that brings a curse, and that is sin against God's Law Gal 3:10

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

You can rest assured that these goats, not sheep, on Christ's left side, whom He says to them "depart from me ye cursed", that they are none for whom He died on the Cross for; this is because for all whom He died, by His death alone, He redeemed them from the curse of the Law Gal 3:13

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Now how did He do this ? By being made a curse for them, hanging on a tree; The Tree of which He bare their sins in His Body 1 Pet 2:24632

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Where there is no sin, the curse is removed, and all for whom Christ died, He put away their sins before God's Law and Justice !

So those in Matt 25:41 could not have been any whose sins He bare on the Tree, and redeemed them from the curse of the Law, by being made a curse for them.

That word for in Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Its the word hyper and means:

in behalf of, for the sake of

So He was made a curse in behalf of all for whom He died !

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures !

1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This is limited atonement, for Paul means by here "according to the scriptures", that is by Prophecy or by Type from the OT Scriptures. One such scripture passage is that of Zech 13:1,7

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

And that this refers to the Death of the Shepherd Christ is seen from Vs 7

7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

For this was fulfilled here as Jesus was on His way to the Cross Matt 26:31

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written[according to scripture], I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

It refers to His Death for His Sheep, of the Chosen House of David. This reference to the House of David in Zech 13 has much significance to Gentile Salvation as well in the Blood of Christ, here being referred to as the Fountain. The Gospel Preached by Paul, was to both jew and Gentile, for writing to the jew and gentile people of Faith in Romans, he writes Rom 1:1-8

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Rom 15:12

12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse [house of david], and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

That word trust is the word elpizō:

to hope
in a religious sense, to wait for salvation with joy and full confidence

hopefully to trust in

The word is derived from elpis which is the word Peter uses in 1 Pet 1:3.

Now the Gentiles here of Rom 15:12 are included in the House of David in Zech 13:1

Also remember Paul's letters to Timothy, a Believer who we understand had a Gentile Father according to the flesh, and note how Paul states in one of his Epistles to him 2 Tim 2:8

8 Remember that Jesus Christ[The Head of the Church] of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

And remember He was raised from the dead as the Great Shepherd of the Sheep Heb 13:20

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Now also understand that He [Jesus Christ] was also of the Seed of Abraham Gal 3:16

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

For Abraham and David are from the same elect seed line in scripture; and if He [Jesus Christ] is the Son or Seed of David according to the flesh, then He is the Son or Seed of Abraham Matt 1:1

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son[offspring] of David, the son[offspring] of Abraham.

And so if Believers in Christ [jew and gentile alike] are the Seed or Offspring of Abraham as Per Gal 3:29

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

29 And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham’s Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise.AMP

Then they are also David's Seed, or the Offspring of David, which is also the House of David, and Christ and His Church are One Flesh Eph 5:31-32

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Remember He was made the Seed of David according to the Flesh Rom 1:3

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

He died for the sins of the Seed of David Zech 13:1

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.643

How often would I have gathered thy children !

Matt 23:37

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Many today in false religion believe this verse teaches that Christ died for all mankind, and that He desires the Salvation of everyone without exception, however that is reading into the verse what they want it to say and mean. The fact of the matter is, that Christ did not desire all these reprobated jew to be saved, in fact, He had just stated earlier that many of them were of that generation of reprobated serpents , and eternal damnation was there sure portion Matt 23:31-33

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Now the fact is again, Jesus in Vs 37 said nothing about gathering them whom killed the Prophets, and stoned them, no for those were the children of the serpent Matt 23:31-36

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

No, Jesus stated quite clearly, that He would have gathered THEIR CHILDREN, NOT THEM !

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Now who is meant here ? It means, He came to gather from among them some of the Sheep of the jewish fold, some of the True Children of God amongst them, like for instance, the disciples, Nicademus and others. The same thing is taught here Jn 11:51-52

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

The gathering together here is the same word and gathering together of Matt 23:37.

Yes, there were Children of God amongst the jews, whereas most of them were reprobated.

Jesus was very successful in gathering out from amongst the reprobated jews, the Sheep of that fold, as indicated here Jn 10:1-5,16

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

But those reprobated jews of the generation of the serpent, who killeth the prophets Matt 23:33,34,37 they are the ones whose eternal damnation is set and sure Vs 33, and even Paul himself writes of their destruction from God 1 Thess 2:14-16

14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.646

Notice Paul says something here very important about those apostate jews " to fill up their sins alway:"

Sound familiar ? It should because Our Saviour said the same thing to those reprobates Matt 23:32-33. That physical nation will always be under God's wrath and judgment to the uttermost 1 Thess 2:15-16, Even today they hate the True God and Jesus Christ, and are vainly looking for a ethnic jewish messiah to set up a physical jewish kingdom ! Good Luck with that !

That Jesus died for all men is no myth.
How you understand it might be a myth and to confuse the two plays the devil’s cards

May I ask to whom did Jesus Christ offer Himself as a sacrifice for sin?

To limit himself to a human body for eternity is a sacrifice few can grasp.

The very nature of love is to be vulnerable; taking a human body subject to the same weakness we have is a risk, a risk unfathomable for us. The risk involved the universe and eternity.

If Jesus did not succeed everything would have imploded.....what love, what risk, what sacrifice!
