Both Arabs and Jews claim to be the sons and descendants of Abraham. Both Arabs and Jews claim that all of the promises that God made to Abraham are theirs also. This is part of what the conflict is about. The Arabs and the Jews are physical brothers fighting with each other.
The Bible is a spiritual book. Much of what the Bible says is spiritual. Religious people try to interpret the Bible in the physical. This is one reason that they don't understand it. Example. The true spiritual sons of Abraham are Christians, Paul said, "Knowing, therefore that they which are of the faith (Christians) the same are the children of Abraham" Galatians 3:7. This means that all of the promises that God made to Abraham were made to the spiritual sons of Abraham and not to the Arabs or to the Jews.
The Gospel is spiritual. Jesus claims to be the savior of the whole world, John 3:17. Yet the whole world is still in a physical mess. God sees all things in his Son Jesus Christ. As far as God is concerned Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil and now sits in heaven as "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. This can only be understood in the spiritual realm.
Paul said to the Colossians, "And you are complete in him" Colossians 2:10. Do you feel like you are complete in Christ? I most certainly do not. I struggle with sin every day. Spiritually, God sees us as perfect and complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. God sees us in the spiritual realm, not the physical. Paul referred to himself as "The chief of sinners" 1 Timothy 1:15. Physically, Paul was probably right, he murdered Christians. But spiritually, Paul sat in heavenly places in Jesus Christ, Ephesians 2:6.
