Gen 1:9-13
(9) And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
(10) And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
(11) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
(12) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
(13) And the evening and the morning were the third day.
thanks for the reply, now hold these verse in your mind and go to Genesis chapter 2, verses 5-7, lets read.
Genesis 2:5 "And every
plant of the field before it was in the earth, and
every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Genesis 2:6 "
But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God
formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul".
now lets analyze these verses. on day #3 the Grass, the herbs, and trees came forth ... right ... right. what do "herb" mean?, it's the Hebrew word,
H6212 עֶשֶׂב `eseb (eh'seɓ) n-m.
grass (or any tender shoot).
[from an unused root meaning to glisten (or be green)]
KJV:
grass,
herb.
Plant: H7880 שִׂיחַ siyach (see'-ach) n-m.
1.
a shoot (as if uttered or put forth).
2. (generally)
shrubbery.
[from H7878]
KJV:
bush,
plant,
shrub.
Root(s): H7878
now, according to chapter 1 on Day 3 the grass, the herbs, and the trees came forth on DAY #3.
according to Genesis 2 at verses 5-7 it states, "BEFORE" the grass, (which came forth on Day #3, "BEFORE" the herbs, before any vegetation, (which came forth on Day #3), "BEFORE" it rain, but, but, but, but, but, there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground, and the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
so "BEFORE" the grass grew on Day #3, "BEFORE" the herbs grew on Day #3. the LORD God "FORMED" man. the keyword to understand this is "BEFORE".
Now the sixth DAY,
26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
(27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
question, "what is the image of God?" answer "ANOTHER", on Day #6, God made "ANOTHER" man.... WOman, meaning another man out of the first man, but this man, "WOman", and this Man the First man is now MADE gender different from each other, meaning on the Sixth Day God created the sexes, by forming a WOman from the frirst man.
Nothing mysterious here. just that God created the First man a helpmate, so they cam fill the earth with their "KIND", that's all. BINGO.
so the First man was formed on Day #3, "BEFORE" the grass, and herb grew, the WOman was Formed on Day 6, after the animals. what so hard to understand here?.
understand "MAN
kind" was created on day #6. so we suggest you study Genesis 1:9-13 and Genesis 2:5-7, and then come to Genesis 1:26 & 27 and get the full understanding of this creation account.
